Hedgewitch by Skye McKenna๐ฟ๐งน
โGet on the broom,โ said a calm, cool voice. Cassie looked about for a speaker. โUnless you have a better plan, that is. Only, you seem at a loss for ideas.โ The grey cat was sitting on a rubbish bin, watching her with round amber eyes (โฆ) Cassie shook her head. None of this made any sense but she didnโt have time to figure it out. The goblin leader was swinging his hook in a wide arc above his head. She put one leg over the broom and grasped the handle. The cat leapt down from the bin and landed on the bristled end. โJump!โ said the cat. ๐ฑ

A book, waffles, and coffee ๐โ๐ง - a perfect combination! I really enjoyed Hedgewitch by Sky McKenna, it's a great spooky, cottagecore-esque read ๐ฟ๐

I love how the wall is painted like the night sky ๐โจ๐ It makes it looks like the books are floating off into spaceโฆ
Another day, another trip to the bookstore ๐...
I love browsing magical books, especially when it comes to be Halloween time โจ These ones especially caught my eye when I went out yesterday!
I've been spending these last warm days with a spooky summer read ๐ฟ! The Wildstorm Curse combines the fun of a theatre camp with the thrills and chills of a supernatural mystery ๐ญ๐ I give it 4 โญ My review and book suggestions are here

Had to go on an exhausting road trip this weekend and this book was the highlight of the entire experience. ๐ Iโm so glad I decided to bring it with me at the last moment.
I went to a bookstore the other day. I always have trouble deciding which book to chose from all the options ๐! I narrowed it down to these two.
Can you guess which one I chose? ;) In other news, I'm back! Sorry for the long absence. I hope your summers are going really well ๐ฟ๐ท
I come to this cafe so many times it's becoming problematic for my wallet
I'm finally back with a book review! Sorry it took so long ๐ In this book, join Emily on a quest to find her parents in a parallel world of magic and danger at the heart of London โ The Midnight Hour brims with imagination and thrills ๐! I give it โญโญโญโญยฝ ๐Read my full review here ๐
Here is an extract of my review:
The Midnight Hour is a thrilling book. You never know what to expect and youโre eager to discover what new surprise awaits Emily in this strange enchanted world. It starts in Emilyโs cosy home (complete with a feeding station for hedgehogs), then moves on to the incredible Night Post headquarters, and finally bursts into the parallel London, with supernatural beings and magic everywhere. There are some scary moments, like when Emily realizes her parents are gone and sheโs left on her own! While a few elements felt clichรฉd, such as the โBearโ villain she encounters and his chase scenes, on the whole the book shines with originality and builds an exciting alternative world.Emily and her parents are very real as characters. I especially like the family dynamic between the brave and contrary Emily, her calm and composed father, and her odd and rebellious mother. Some characters are not as convincing, such as Tarkus (Emilyโs new friend in the Midnight Hour), whose personality is hard to pin down and whose background is never fully explained.
