yes, and if anything, that makes that anon a bit more silly, wouldn't it? accusing a trainer who is early on in their journey to the point they don't have any fully evolved pokémon and from a region where it's not a common practice shows ignorance. my intentions and motivations were assumed blatantly inaccurately
I think that anon is trying to make a statement about your pokemon team and dismissal of mega evolution because of it

Mega evolution is safe, it's not a new phenomenon, it's been around for years, do you think people would do mega evolution for so long if it wasn't safe?

what's wrong with dynamaxing. if my pokemon becomes huge then that's just more of it for me to love
understudied so we don't fully know the long-term health impact on the pokémon and the larger size makes it more likely to accidentally damage the surrounding area and/or people
okay i'm gonna throw hands with this. what the fuck do you mean dynamax is understudied. like we didn't know the origin of wishing stars (and admittedly some theorise that we still don't, there's those out there that say that The Big Fucking Dragon that macro cosmos found can't be the only source with their quantities and variance.) until the Big Kerfuffle but there are like 8 labs who have been researching it for 30-50 years. it's not as studied as like. evolution or breeding and shit and yes in terms of research it's a newer field but there are so many fucking researchers working on it over here. to the point that they keep fucking asking me and my boss "oh why aren't you studying dynamax" BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS STUDYING IT. we don't know everything but we know a whole lot

just wondering, what are your opinions on mega evolution? you've implied you Have Some after all.
i don't have as many reservations about mega evolution as i do with dynamaxing because mega evolution is more well-studied. my main concerns, as with many things related to pokémon, are safety and the well-being of trainers, mons, and bystanders, especially over longer periods of time
hi, galarian here. i'm not gonna fight you on the whole spectacle aspect, that's all just a matter of taste, but i will add one thing. the spectacle actually works in favour of safety in this one. so much money is poured into the industry that there's a bunch of precautions put down. on site nurses waiting directly in the wings in case something goes wrong, high grade holo-walls protecting the crowd, field design also incorporates deployable holo-walls surrounding the trainers (which are always up in the youth leagues), plus the stadiums are designed to contain any stray energy from dynamax pokémon. helps that they're basically the only places dynamax can be achieved.
