What have you done to me? you ask through a blood-soaked throat.

A rhythmic thumping echoes in your ears. Cold, wet earth wedges between your teeth; your tongue feels fuzzy with dirt. You peel open your eyes.

Your pupils blow out, twinned voids drinking in what should be total darkness. Planks of plywood stretch overhead. Panic forces your hands up until you're scratching against the wood, scrambling for freedom. Terror and rage bleed out of every pore.

Soil falls into your mouth. You gasp. Oxygen floods your throat and sets it ablaze. You're on fire. Your stomach spasms, a cramp bringing tears to your eyes. Hollow--empty. Starving.

You've been buried alive.

"Knock it off. You'll be out in a second."

You wake up in a grave. Your grave. Fuzzy memories come crawling back. A nightclub. A stranger. A flashing smile; teeth in your throat. They creep back until you remember your own death. Before the details settle, steady hands pull you out of your casket. You've changed, the mouth that killed you explains. The caterpillar and the butterfly. You're something else, something better. A vampire.

I kissed you. I killed you. I turned you into a god.

FEATURES:

Be reborn as a fledgling vampire brought into a world unlike any you've ever known. The city comes alive at night, it turns out, for those whose hearts have long since stopped beating.

Play as a man, a woman, or nonbinary; trans or cis. Customize your appearance, your pronouns, and build up your fledgling's distinct personality throughout the game.

Embrace your new place as a creature of the night--develop your newfound abilities, get to know the other members of your coven, and find yourself knees-deep in a potentially deadly game of politics.

Or reject the life you never asked for. Seek out a cure and potentially help more than just yourself...or become obsessed with revenge, doing everything in your power to vanquish the undead.

Seek out love after death...or something like it.

Neverland is an 18+ dark supernatural romance work in progress in the early stages of creation. It's a story about terrible people doing terrible things to one another. And vampires. Mostly vampires. This is my secondary project and for the time being, updates will be extremely infrequent.

Remy: approaches almost casually, slinking an arm around MC's waist, with a sharpened smile. "Nice try. This one's mine."

Soleil: would try to gauge MC's reaction. If they seemed into it, Sol might nuzzle up against them and ask: "Want to share?" If not...the other vampire might be in danger.

Dane/a: bites and bites and bites and bites and-- (would you look at that! new target acquired)

Melody: she'd drape herself all over MC dramatically, demanding their attention, kissing them, etc. After a long moment of this she'd suddenly look at the other person like they're the intruder. "Did you need something?"

Neverland is going to be more explicit I think!! Both in general nsfw content and also in themes. Kind of sort of?

TLS has explicit scenes and will continue to have more, but the relationships are much more normal/grounded in reality, so they'll reflect that. At this point at least idk I don't make any promises for later.

ngl this is something that will probably be able to be fully canon!! there will be the space for MC to be super excited once the shock has worn off and i think it would be so much fun for one of the reasons they're pleased to just be like 'i love vampires ive seen every vampire movie why wouldn't i be excited?????"

Also, an idea for MC background. Could make it where they are down on hard times/medical issues/money/ (lets be honest, hospitals cost a lot 💀)

Vampires are physically more or less frozen at the point in which they were turned. So any tattoos or piercings (or scars!) will remain as they were. Piercings with the caveat that if the jewelry is removed, the piercing will quickly close up.

Technically a vampire could get a new piercing, if the jewelry was inserted fast enough! I'm not as sure about tattoos though 🤔

The Neverland MC is much less defined than the TLS MC! No set family, no huge important past lore or locations they're connected to. I'm undecided on letting the player choose a previous occupation--I have a few potential ideas, but if I go that route, there will be less choices than in TLS probably.

I want the Neverland MC's background to be a bit more of a blank slate. Not entirely, of course, and I really want to infuse them with a fairly distinct character. I'm already pretty fond of the voice that's coming out as I'm writing them!!
