i've been reluctant to say that iga should take a break bc she has technical issues which she needs match play for but her mental state is abysmal. she should pull a maja and take a few months off the circuit. get a serve coach towards the end of the year and come back in australia

#im always sceptical about trying to know a player better than themselves but #in iga's case its impossible to argue anymore that she wud be in a better competitive headspace if she was able to win more #because if that were really true then something wud have changed after wimby+ cincy last year #but since this cycle has been in its loop for about 2 years now id agree with this #wholeheartedly too #give the girl a good vacation

im sure this is said enough but the worst part about iga's results ordeal is the lack of faith she has in herself currently (for a good two years now actually) and how she seems to have no one in her personal circle to help her take a break from the weight of her own expectations

#all of what she's dealing with seems mental and what is her luck to constantly have that one person around her who seems to make it worse #<- the way the same can be said about elena...#my god
