hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii its me again, i know, i'm always here aren't I?? crazy world we live in..
this is an effort to make some sort of consolidation on this account (despite having a small casting net for fanfics I've managed to post for 3 separate fandoms so far that have 0 correlation between them LMAO)
anyways this should be a relatively short post but I wanted to throw It out there in case anyone was thinking about it.

to explain:
characters that died minors (Naranica, Kakyoin, etc.) I do not feel comfortable writing smut for, seeing as I am a legal adult. romantic or platonic is fine but no sexual content will be written for these characters.
now if a character is a minor when we see them but live to be an adult in a different season I'm fine with writing smut about them

This is my first time writing for joylne so excuse an ooc-ness, I need to re-watch part 6 lol. some parts are more angst-y than others, AND i ended up writing this in my typical headcanon format just cuz I'm a stronger headcanon writer than I am a full fic writer. The moment Bruno realizes what happened his new mission is to wrap this up as quickly as possible and get you help
Bruno hatesss you using your stand on him
Taking damage for him makes him feel like he failed as not just your leader but your lover too
Bruno knows pain is a part of this job, you can't be in the mafia and be afraid to take a hit or two, yet it's hard to just put his care for you aside and let you hurt yourself for him
When your back to safety and your wound is treated/healed he’s scolding you about how what you did was “Totally irresponsible”
He uses the big bad scary mafioso boss voice and everything- but you can see the slight tremble in his hands. He was (still is) shaken by the interaction
Brun has always done everything in his power to keep the people he loves safe- your no different
He’d ‘rather take a stab wound if it meant keeping you safe’ and it's this line of thought that makes him pause his lecture
Bruno realizes in the moment how hypocritical the statement is. How you were only protecting him the same way he would've protected you
he finds himself realizing he never thanked you. He’ll sit down by you and pull you close, thanking you quietly and sincerely for protecting him
Bruno doesn't mean to make you think he's not thankful for your sacrifice- to chew you out while you nurse what should be his injury
In the end the situation only strengthens your love and trust in each other as partners in and out of battle
Abbacchio
I've always had it in my head that Abbacchio developed severe ptsd after his partner was shot
So you jumping in to save him just like his partner did brings all of his unresolved trauma of the situation back up
deep down Abbachio thinks he’s a worthless person, that your life is worth infinitely more than his
You're one of the only few things abbachio even thinks is worth living for-
he's angry that you don't see the value in your life like he does and that you just put yourself in danger so willingly
The experience shakes him. It can't just be a mission for him, it can’t just be part of the job. It’s unnervingly personal to his traumas, and it scared Abbacchio
When your treated/healed he’s lashing out emotionally, he doesn't mean to hurt you worse than you already are but doesn't know how to handle the situation healthily
Abbachio never really addressed the effect his partner's death had on his psyche, he went from drinking it away straight into mafia work
This situation really forces him to confront all the things he'd been pushing away
It may even take a few days for him to come and properly talk to you about what happened
He, like Fugo, also needs a talk with Bruno to realize that he’s being a dick. Coming back and apologizing for what he said/did.
Abbacchio even opens up, tells you about his partner and how his death affected Abbacchio's whole life
But he’ll still hold on to the belief that you shouldn't put him before you, and insists that you ‘don't do something stupid like that again’
Giorno
Giorno may look calm on the outside, but he's pure panic on the inside
Giorno knows golden experience can fix it, but it's still scary seeing someone you love get hurt like that healing powers or not
After he finishes the fight (rather quickly may i add) giorno’s speeding over to heal you
with shaking hands he uses his stand to treat your injuries, muttering small apologies over and over during the process
I don't think Giorno scolds you or is mad that you did what you did. He gets it, the person you love was in danger and you used your stand to prevent it-
Giorno mostly feels guilty that he didn't see it coming, that he’d let his guard down
Though after the encounter it does deepen his loyalty for you, he sometimes catches himself staring at you, remembering the sacrifice you made for him with an oddly warm feeling in his chest
He has to fight the urge to barricade you in a room somewhere after your healed up
You are your own person, with your own prerogative, and he can't just stop you because he’s worried-
But that doesnt mean he cant ask you to do it anyways- he may look a bit silly kneeling by you as he holds your hands and literally begs you to skip out on the next few missions but he's being dead serious
dedicates himself to making everything as easy for you as possible over the next few days after the incident
He’s very worried about your health after, afraid that golden experience may have somehow healed you wrong even though he’s pretty sure that’s not possible
Fugo
For once he isn't quite sure what to do
Fugo gets so frustrated sometimes; he's smart, like really fucking smart
But what good does smart do in an attack when you can't fight back without worrying you're gonna kill everyone, including yourself?
Seeing you hurt from pain that was meant for him angers fugo so deeply that he finds himself more willing to just let purple haze do it’s business and melt the fucker
If it's just you two then he’s figuring out how to get you 5 meters back and letting purple haze loose
When your out of battle he's FUMING at you, yelling at you about how ‘idiotic’ your stunt was
Kinda forgets your still injured till he sees you wincing as you try (and fail) to move around
Once he realizes he's making it worse he shuts up and helps you back to the car/hide out
Self isolation to the max- cant stand to look at you in your healing process
Feels so useless and upset that he can't control himself, he gets very angry at himself and really questions if he’s deserves to be with you if he can't even protect you
Has to have Bruno talk him into seeing you. He doesn't realize how selfish he’s being about the situation till someone snaps him out of it
When you do talk again he's all apologies, for letting you get hurt and ignoring you when you needed him after
Fugo explains his outburst, you already know he has problems with his anger but he feels he has to specify that it wasn't anger with you but himself
You both spend most of the time back together comforting one another
Mista
Most panicked out of everyone, stuck in between seeing if your ok or emptying his revolver into the enemy
He ends up attacking first and sex pistols are all locked in once they realize your hurt
It's one of the only times they're not arguing, all focused in on hitting the offenders weakest points as fast as possible
The second the last shot is fired Mista’s sprinting towards you, yelling incoherently about needing to get you home- he’s very panicked at you being hurt ok?
He probably doesn't even realize you took the hit for him till your halfway back to which he freaks out all over again
Goes on a very rambly tangent about how he could’ve totally taken the hit and that you didn't need to do that and oh god please do NOT do it again-
When your healed/recovering he’s cracking jokes the whole time and (half) jokingly complaining that you made him look like a lame boyfriend
“What kinda man lets his lover take a hit for him?!”
Sex pistols also insists on seeing you, they’re just as worried if not more than Mista is
they’ll all crowd around you and ask you if you're ok. A few of them are checking wherever the wound was to make sure your actually ok
Later that day, when your relaxing Mista gets strangely quiet
He’ll turn to you, looking right in the eyes, and tells you that you don't need to do stuff like that for him
All Mista wants is for you to be safe and if that means taking a few hits he's more than willing to do it, so just leave the injuries to him ok?
Narancia
The second Narancia sees you injured he's forgetting all about the mission and is solely focused on hurting whoever hurt you back
I feel like out of all the members he finishes the fight quickest (yes he exploded the shit out of the enemy)
Narancia is by your side in an instant, tears welling up in his eyes as he looks over your wounds
Crying simultaneously from the fear of you potentially dying and because you just sacrificed yourself for him
Your one of the few things narancia can say is ‘his’ not in a possessive/owning way but in the sense that you and him are devoted to each other and no one else
So the fact that you’d go out of your way and get hurt to keep him safe makes his heart hurt (in a good and bad way)
Narancia tries to get you back home as quickly as possible
speeding, running red lights, hell he’d carry you to where your stationed on his back if he needed too-
When you finally get healed up he's attached to your side, he follows you around everywhere like a puppy- the attack triggering his abandonment problems
Narancia’s already lost so much, the idea of losing you too makes him feel sick
So While he's happy you love him so much you’d take a hit for him he also really, really doesn't want you doing it again
He’ll give a whole speech about how ‘brave and tough’ he is and that you don't need to take hits for him because he can take it
Narancia promises you that he’d do the same, swearing to protect you with his life like you did with yours
Jolyne
Ever seen a woman deeply in love beating the hell out of someone? Well you're about to!
She’ll drag on the enemies defeat for as long as she can, really showing them just how badly they fucked up hurting you (even if they didnt intend on it)
From the moment we meet Jolyne we're constantly showed that she’d do anything for the ones she loved
Definitely not far-fetched to say she'd take a hit for you even if she knew it was deadly, so for you to do the same for her…
She simultaneously feels like a million bucks and like shit because your injured technically because of her-
Your not escaping the healing process without her saying how stupid you are for the act though
She definitely tells you that she could have taken it and that your help- while appreciated, wasn't necessary
She returns the favor tenfold as a thank you, at some point in your journey she's definitely pushing you out of the way of an attack as repentance
The whole ordeal solidifies her love and trust in you, she's a bit emotionally damaged after her last boyfriend ended up getting her 20 years in prison-
While I don't think she’d cry during the moment, a while after you can find Jolyne tearing up while remembering it
She’ll grab you by the hands and pull you close, telling you how she’s thankful she found someone who loved her as much as she loved them
And that she promises you'll never have to worry about someone hurting you again.
Now she’s 100% committed and willing to protect you with her life, just like you did with yours

he doesn't need to go out to enjoy his time with you so why should he?

if hes gonna bother going out for a date he wants to do something he typically doesn't get the opportunity to do on a regular basis
so the date nights he does take you on are always very thought through and based on your individual enjoyments
a live orchestra concert would be very enjoyable for him
ballet, musicals, and plays are acceptable as well
the ultimate date for him would probably be a nice dinner and then going to see a show of some kind
then going tf home and having some wine
if you want something more relaxed like an arcade date or even just a dinner he does fold and do it lmao

to his credit he does do whatever it is you suggest!

After a long day of work, dealing with mafia members, towns people, or even his own team
he just wants to unwind and relax before he has to wake back up and do it all over again
It's also some of the only times he gets with just him and you.
No other people walking by, no one interrupting, no task taking his focus, no one asking for his help-
Just his lover and his bed
He doesn't mind any cuddling pose! as long as he gets to hold you he's happy
He’ll talk about his day, in his steady tone that he always has, a bit deeper with sleep and slower from the exhaustion
It lulls you into a tired state right along with him
If you fight to stay awake and listen to him he’ll laugh a bit before brushing his hand over your forehead; soothing you and trying to get you to close your eyes.
“Sleep bella, i’ll still be here to talk in the morning” he’ll tease
But sometimes he's just too tired (especially if he was on a mission that day) and he’ll let you talk him to sleep
likes to sleep in the dark and in complete silence
he's always surrounded by people talking or arguing and this poor man just wants some peace and quite bruh LMAO
He's rather agreeable to sleep with
He doesn't toss or turn and if you shift in his arms he instinctively loosens his hold till your still again before pulling you back,
Doesn't snore, doesn't have nightmares, he falls asleep and is usually in the same position till he wakes back up
however leaving the bed will wake him up
He trials after you like a lost puppy, wondering what your doing and where your going
Need some water? He’s leaned on the counter in the kitchen, arms crossed and groggily watching you before ushering you quickly back to bed
He's got a nice bed too…soft, clean sheets that smell like fresh laundry
Big stickler for making the bed every morning, he hates his sheets slipping off the corners and getting all wrinkled and ruffled under him while he sleeps
Can and will make the bed with you in it if you don't wake up fast enough
Abbacchio
Sleep? This man does not know how to sleep.
He's got horrible insomnia accompanied by horrific night terrors so he gets very limited sleep
If he does its because hes drank himself into a black-out and even then its cold, dreamless, and wholly unsatisfying
If he does manage to drift off he wakes up screaming and sweating
He’s is too shaken to try to go back to bed
It's basically a gamble every time night comes around
But sometimes very, very, rarely he sleeps through the night without a single nightmare
Most nights he’ll catch 3-4 hours of sleep, they're restless and he typically wakes up every hour or so but hey, it keeps him from collapsing on a mission so good enough for him lol
he moves a lot in his sleep, not flailing his arms or legs but he tosses and turns quite a bit
sometimes he'll talk in his sleep, repeating phrases or conversations he said earlier that day (remind you of anyone?)
he'll ask you questions in accordance to whatever dream he's having
these are the times you can negate his nightmares, leading him away from them and to a more relaxed state of mind
telling him your 'right next to him' or that your 'not going anywhere' literally makes his shoulders deflate and his face relax
sometimes he'll wake up and slightly remember the conversations but he mostly thinks they are his dreams
(may or may not have admitted multiple times how much he loves you in his "dreams")
When with you he’ll put on a record (something smooth and quite, jazz perhaps) and lay next to you, even if he can't sleep it doesn't mean he wants you to stay awake with him
Now cuddling is a bit odd, at first he just lays next to you. Too awkward to reach out and touch you
But as time goes on he’ll slowly work up to it. Holding your hand or pressing his shoulder to yours
He likes you resting your head on his chest, its enough contact to satiate him but not so much that he gets touched out
He holds your hand and presses it to his heart :_)
When you do fall asleep he’ll get up and just sorta go about his day (night?)
He’ll clean, drink, watch tv- just sorta bide his time till he feels drowsy enough to doze off for a bit before sunrise
If you wake up and join him he’ll try and get you back to bedi
“We don't need two sleep deprived members on the team tomorrow, go back to sleep..."
But deep down he's happy that you bothered to check on him at all
Even if you end up falling back asleep watching some stupid show on the couch with him

pre-don giorno tries to get his recommended 8 hours a night
He’s got a good sense of knowing when to take breaks to prevent burnout and this sense extends to you as well
if he sees you working too late for his tastes he will force you to go to bed
I'm talking hands on shoulders, directing you to the bed like your a child playing video games too late on a school night lmao
Now post-don giorno has far more tasks to attend to, but he still tries to finish up as quickly as he responsibly can
Much to your mutual chagrin you probably still go to bed before he does most nights
he doesn't like you staying up waiting for him either
if you do he just sighs and gives you a slightly disapproving smile, but none the less carries out his nightly routine with you in tow
He likes cuddling! he does the classic little spoon/big spoon
He probably has the nicest bed ever, like goose feather down blanket, egyptian silk sheet type shit
He always has the room ever so slightly lit-up
As a little boy he was terrified of the dark after being left there alone so many nights
And he’d be hard pressed to admit it but he’s still very scared of the dark
Every time he wakes up to the starkness of night all those emotions come running back to him
Fear, sadness, confusion-
He always swore to himself he’d never have to feel like that again so he’s got little lamps or nightlights around the room to keep it aglow
He moves a bit in his sleep
But its all natural movement, you're still within each other's arms when you wake back up in the morning
he also sometimes has nightmares, they're not as bad as abbacchio's
they're all the same though
visions of Bruno, abbacchio, or narancias death, sometimes he dreams that your dead
sometimes there of his stepdad, remnants of his childhood, hurtful words said to him
he doesn't wake up screaming but does sometimes wake up to a few tears in his lash line
looking at you, peaceful and safe brings him back down to reality and helps him calm down enough to go back to bed
sometimes it's not-
those nights he'll sit and spiral about all the things he did wrong
but if you find him and sit with him he feels a little lighter, after some time he'll take your hand and walk the two of you back to bed
Fugo
Another insomniac
He leans more ‘unable to turn his brain off’ than ‘nightmares of his past mistakes’ but he does occasionally peep the horror!
He's very perceptive and sometimes without realizing it is observing things in his head
Whether it's a mission he was or is going on, a book he's reading, something he has to do for the team, chores, etc.
He's always got a million things going on and often he finds himself staring at the ceiling till morning comes just thinking
It's a gift and a curse
It’s one of the reasons he's so intelligent, he wouldn't be so smart if he didn't have a hunger for knowledge
But it also causes him to lose time, most nights he doesn't even realize he's dreamed the night away while still being awake
But having someone there to shake him into reality and tell him to “go the hell to bed” helps lots
I feel like he likes to be read to, it gives him something to focus on instead of his own head
Or watch tv/listen to radio
He’d LOVE podcasts/audiobooks
He’s a bit nervous about cuddling or even sleeping in the same room as you
What if while he’s unconscious purple haze comes out and something happens and he loses you-
He needs a bit of time to work up to it, but once he gets comfortable to the idea omg he's on ur ass bruh
Like breathing down your neck levels of clingy
He doesn't intend for it to happen but when he does fall asleep he turns a bit and bam he grabbing you up and pulling you in-

Every time he wakes up clinging to you he's so embarrassed and your just like

It doesn't happen too often but there are nights where In his dreams he relives some of the most horrible moments of his life
It's mostly his teacher or his parents, but sometimes the gang turns on him
And you do to, saying every little thing he hates about himself is true and that he's disgusting, that you hate him, that your leaving-
He wakes up terrified, heart racing
But then he looks over and sees you, still with him, still breathing, still in love with him
And he feels a bit better
do not, and I repeat
DO NOT!
eat in this man's bed. He will remove cuddle privilege for an extended period of time if it happens
he loves you so dearly but he will strangle you if you get crumbs in his bed
i feel like he has this need to shower before he gets in bed so
that rule applies to you too
he thinks it's so yuck to get into the bed and lay in a day's worth of sweat and dirt
another morning bed maker, but he will not make you into the bed
he'll just force you to get up
"its 7am you should be awake by now anyways- GET. UP."

Listen, this man LOVES to sleep
It's one of his favorite pastimes! Next to like- eating and fucking lmao
He doesn't care where he is either; Bed, couch, chair, restaurant, on the ground outside-
If Mista feels tired hes going to BED
One thing he does hate is sleeping when its hot
He's one of those people that always has the fan blowing in his room, and don't try to turn it off either, he'll know
Even if you think he’s asleep, the second you turn it off he's sitting up and telling you to turn it back on.
He needs his white noise guys
Fully one of those people who wont go to other peoples events because he wants to take a nap at that time
“Yeah i would totally go to your baby shower but like, I'm starting to feel tired and by the time that it's 3pm im gonna wanna lay down so i can't, sorry!”

Just really weird dreams that he swears are prophetic, lots of talking animals and shapeshifting people asking him to do things for odd rewards
Wakes up so confused and kinda panicked
“Oh god! I didn't get dog Bruno his treats!”

“In my dream! Bruno was a dog- and he could talk and he asked me to get him some treats but when i was about to buy them i woke up! Now dog Bruno is gonna STARVE!”
Can and will sleep the whole day, he has done it before
before joining passione there was like a 3 month period where he was basically nocturnal because of this
When he gets tired and cant sleep bc of a mission or something he get so grumpy lmao
Whines the whole time he's doing his job that he ‘wishes he was home right now so he could go to bed’
Everyone is begging him to shut the hell up but he will not.

Now i feel like narancia MOVES in his sleep, he's very restless even in his dreams and sometimes ends up on the floor because he rolled himself off the bed
He wakes up scared and pissed, thinking that an enemy stand attack is happening and you have to tuck him back into the bed lmao
Now despite the movement you’ll always wake up to some part of him touching you
A hand on yours, a foot against your leg; he instinctively reaches for you even when he's asleep :_)
Narancia usually never has a hard time going to bed
He was raised on the streets and used to sleep in shitty homemade beds that were never comfortable
now that he’s got a real bed that's warm and soft and smells like you?
Yeah hes layin in that shit
He's got lots of energy but he only has it because he sleeps so deeply at night, like 5 mins in and that mf is in his REM cycle
He's hard to wake up, you gotta really shake the mf and even then its a 50/50 chance if hes actually awake
Bc he will half consciously say whatever he thinks the person wants to hear if it means he can go back to sleep
This ends up getting him into lots of agreements and missions he doesn't remember later on- It's a rule to not ask him for anything if he's half asleep lol
Very occasionally has nightmares,
Mostly about his eye getting infected again and him dying Or you dying or betraying him like his old friends did, sometimes its his mom-
Just sad stuff, things that make him wake up and feel depressed
It's easy to tell when he's had a bad dream because it's like his whole light is dimmed
Hug him and tell him you’ll always be there and he’ll perk back up, hugging you back and promising not to leave you either.
naranica uses klarna but doesn't complete his payments then when his account goes into the negatives he breaks his phone and throws it away bc he thinks it gets rid of the debt
