            “ that   some  STRONG  RESENTMENT  you’ve  got.  “  was  all  she  think  to  say  before  he  went  on   —  a  ramble  ?   his  misanthropy  thoughts  were  ones  she  could  RELATE  to   —  to  an  extent.  some  people  really    are   ignorant.  some  do  think  they’re  better  THEN  OTHERS.  but  just  as  much  as  there’s  PEOPLE  like  that,  there’s  also  people  that  are  the  opposite  of  that  as  well.   for  him  to  LUMP  EVERYONE  like  that   as  a  whole  isn’t  fair.  but  she  was  going  to  let  him  go  on   as  he  told  her  this  story  as  he  looked  DOWN  as  he  squatted  down.   her  arms  were  crossed,  leaning  back  against  the  nearest  wall.   

             she  felt  she  might  have  heard  a  story  LIKE  THIS  in  the  news,  but  she  couldn’t  REMEMBER  all  the  details  or  even  knew  that  the  girl  had  killed  herself.  but  she  understood  where  he  WAS  COMING  from.  there  have  been  a  lot  of  people  of  power  that  are  just  the  worst.  people  that   are  just  so  low  but  are  LOVED by  everyone  regardless.  once  he  finished,  there  was  a  pause  in  her  voice,  thinking  before  she  slowly  leaned  down  against  THE  WALL,  squatting  down  with  him.  leaning  her  cheek  against  the  palm  of  her  hand,  as  she  looked  down  the  ground,  “  you’re  HUMAN  too,  aren’t  you  ?  does  your  logic  apply  to  you  too  ?  or  do  you  think  you’re  an  exception  ?  “  she  started,   “  just  because  some  heroes  AREN’T  PERFECT,  doesn’t  mean they’re  all  bad.  there  are  some  good,  just  like  they’re  are  bad  ones.  “  

            she  looked  back  at  him,  leaning  against  a bit  closer  to  them,  “  so  tell  me.  what  MAKES  you  different   ?   “

“--Wouldn’t call it resentment,” came your reply. “I didn’t hate the guy for what he did. Like I care if someone wants to kill themselves. Good ridden if you ask me. Nah. I just wanted him to get what he deserved is all. Simple as that.” You honestly didn’t care about anyone--especially a stranger or some BULLSHIT hero. He was better off dead anyway. The entire district he was assigned too was chaos now, and it was pretty hilarious. All the heroes below him--mediocre at best--were running around with their heads cut off. Like chickens. And like how most chickens ended up, you’d burn them--and possibly DEEP FRY them. Y’know, for shits and giggles.

You didn’t move when she slid down beside you. Hell, it made talking to her all the more easier. You were all about exerting the least amount of energy possible. “--No shit I’m human,” was what you said next. You gave her a tired, uncaring expression. “Doesn’t mean I have to wander around like a fucking idiot. I don’t like the state the world is in. So I’m going to fix it--and make it a world worth living in. All these fake heroes are muddling up the place, y’know? Don’t care if they’re GOOD people or not.”

What made you different? It was simple.

         “Ya kinda cain’ be, since ya jus’ lied when ya said tha’ adul’s don’ lie. Ya only proved me righ’.” {/Granted, he could be offended if he wanted to, but what good would that do him? Honestly, it was so much easier just to tell the truth half the time. Regardless, the fact he wasn’t taking offense to it was no skin off her back.

          Although when he gave her that little nudge, she did stumble a moment before regaining her composure and walking ahead.} “Huh, tha’s kinda funny. I’m sapposed ta be twenty-three. Bu’ I’m stuck bein’ nineteen.” {/She glances at him over her shoulder to make sure he was following.} “Nah, I’m sure if I ge’ curious, ya’ll tell me if I ask.”

“--Got me there,” you then said. “Maybe you’re a little too smart for me to mess with you, Nicole.” You doubted it. Then again, you never did consider Nicole intelligent. You didn’t consider anyone intelligent, really. People were stupid in general so, yeah.

You decided to start walking--even before Nicole began to. You’d walk slow enough for her to catch up fairly quickly. You couldn’t be bothered to go any faster, despite how hungry you were.
