Alrighty friends! This book has inspired me to get fit and strong again, and of you'd like to join me, here's what I'll be doing in my Novice stage:

CARDIO

Interval running for 2km (1 minute running to 30 seconds walking but adjust to your level)

Hilly walks - bonus points if there are stairs!

BALANCE/CORE

Knee-ups to backward toe touches

Sumo squats and side extensions with pulse

30 sec plank

Deadbugs

ARMS

Tricep dips

45-degree push ups (using a chair or stairs)

LEGS

Squats

Lunges (if you have bad knees, do a reverse lunges instead!)

I’ve seen a lot of people tearing apart ACOSF, and — that is fine. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion on the media they consume, but for me… I felt like this book was written for me.

- Cassian giving Nesta music (also the tiny book at the bottom of Sidra but that did not go so well)

- Elain being happy Nesta told her “Oh, fuck you” (I was happy too)

- Nesta telling Feyre she loves her

- Nesta altering her body because she wants to have babies with Cass (yo, shes planning the future and that is so amazing to see)

- Nessian being extra and planning a ornate mating ceremony. Im not surprised

And probably so much more but I need to do a reread. My mind is a mess.

And the king of Hybern has an Irish accent.

Hibernia is the original Latin name for Ireland and seems to be the inspiration for hibern.

This is further supported by the fact that on the map Hibern is a smaller island to the left of Prythian, pretty similar to the relationship between the UK and Ireland.

The night court is at the very top of Prythian, where Scotland would be relative to England.

I really don’t think this is just a coincidence…

Bonus: this would also give Tarquin and maybe Tamlin a welsh accent

Why this matters: Besides all of Cassian's backstory and how moving it will be for him to finally overcome believing himself to be unworthy, it also means that the healing flows both ways between them, so Nesta is an agent for healing just as much as Cassian will be.

It isn't just that Nesta is at rock bottom and Cassian's influence will somehow pull her out of it, but equally so Nesta's influence on Cassian will be the precise thing he needs to heal from his mental and emotional trauma of believing that the fact that he's a bastard means he is worth less than those who are not.

Nesta will help heal Cassian as much as Cassian will help heal Nesta. ❤️

Thrust into a culture in the midst of dissent, Nesta is made to face the darkest parts of herself, as well as the magic that roars in her veins, to figure out who she is and who she will become on the road to recovery.
