Gone...Still

I hung out with the ocean for the first time as a conscious human being. Still can’t get over how beautiful and powerful the experience was. I separated from my friend and just frolicked around this tide pool, totally absorbed and delighted by the colors, textures, creatures, and smells. Felt like six years old. I was singing, and laughing, and touching sea anemones, wondering what things I can eat and what might kill me. So joyful.

my friend came for me, and led me up onto a cliff to see the amazing view of this sunset. I just sat up there, by the edge of the cliff, on the damp mossy earth.. looking at the waves in the distance, taking everything into me, silent, but full of music. I became overwhelmed with sweetness, gratitude, joy, wonder at the whole of creation, awareness of mortality. tears started flowing down my face. & A moment later, the sky released a torrent of cold, fat raindrops!!! We hurried to get down the cliff since we were getting drenched. My friend was in more of a hurry than I. I lagged behind. I didn’t care. I was still crying, and now, giggling! Breathing deep, sighing out. He was so far ahead of me I couldn’t see him, or his dog. I didn’t care. I was all in my own world. It felt perfect. I wanted nothing besides what was, right then. Didn’t even want to be dry or warm. I was immersed in experiencing exactly what it is like to be in this: joyfully drenched ocean woman in love, leaping over seaweed.. I felt that I released something up there. Surrendered to life, if even for that half an hour. To taste that at all can transform a person. How funny. Just the previous day, after resolving one of my meltdowns, (lol) friend and had said something along the lines of: “you know, tomorrow we are going to the shore, we can do a kind of ritual there, you can release these things that aren’t serving you.. “ I kinda “yeah yeah”’d it, nodded, put it to the back of my mind. Blessings that it happened anyway, without me having to orchestrate anything. Perfect.

TLDR: ocean, cool, neat, wow!!! Love. Love. Love.

Jason Momoa says he can’t start shooting “Aquaman 2”… because he “got run over by a bulldozer” while protesting construction of a giant telescope on land considered sacred to native Hawaiians.

“Sorry Warner Bros we can’t shoot ‘Aquaman 2,'” he wrote in an Instagram post. “Because Jason got run over by a bulldozer trying to stop the desecration of his native land THIS iS NOT HAPPENING. WE ARE NOT LETTING YOU DO THIS ANYMORE. Enough is enough. Go somewhere else.”

In a followup post, Momoa asked fans to support the protest movement, writing, “During this time, we are trying to unite both kānaka and Hawai’i born peoples alike to protect not only the mauna, but also our way of life and greatest natural resources in Hawaii as a whole.”

Momoa has spent several weeks protesting on the highest point on the state of Hawaii, Mauna Kea, in an effort to stop construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT), a $1.4 billion scientific project underwritten by a group of universities in California and Canada as well as partners in China, India and Japan.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson also has been protesting the construction of the telescope last month, he made a surprise visit to the dormant volcano.
