In honour of the BBC turning 100, here’s an ident from the stop motion duo, The Quay Brothers (of Street of Crocodiles fame). I adore how the Quays present their warped visual style through calligraphic linework on 3D models. That mixed with the eery harpsichord music makes it a surreal spectacle.
It’s a shame these idents were rejected, as I feel they would’ve fit well with the sister channel’s other idents at the time. Even though the UK missed out on this taster for the Quays, it still remains a piece of their history.
