I just felt undervalued. I felt they’ll be throwing me into the sharks again. Coz I was first assigned to an insurgency area then to a disaster-stricken area... later on, I temporarily stayed in the city for a research assignment... only to find out I’m gonna be thrown into another insurgency area again?!? Not to mention, a new place wherein I have to study another language coz they rarely speak our country’s lingua franca.

Things have gotten crazy in the south lately. Heck! Even other countries are giving numerous travel advisories (and travel bans) for that area alone. I don’t care if my officemates think I just wussed out or I never really had the passion to work for the poor. I will not let their opinion shape my life choices. I still have a dream that I keep putting on hold. So backing off from this assignment doesn’t mean I’m apathetic or I’m just selfish/ambitious. I just don’t wanna be a pawn fulfilling other people’s dreams for the rest of my life.

All things have limits... and I think I’ve just reached it. Kdrama/Jdramas aren’t enough anymore to de-stress me. So my best bet is to have a change of environment... and finally pursue other things that I like.

I’ll be busy job hunting soon (right after the holidays) and will be trying out other hobbies. I’m not sure yet if I’ll be giving up this blog anytime soon. But the realities of life keep pushing me to do “My Bucklist List" before I reach the age of 30 (Wah... Can’t believe I’m turning 27 next year... and still single).

But until I make that “Farewell Post,” I’m not saying goodbye yet. I’ll be coming back from time to time. So until then, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
