The cult had called him the offspring of deities, with creatures living under his skin, the ability to twist flesh to his liking. He didn’t talk much. He hated most company, and close contact. He could easily kill them all, just like he had twisted the members of the cult inside-out. But he didn’t. What an uneasy sort of relief it was.
