I like the idea an the questions, thank you OP. Gives me the opportunity to think about the backstory of my character a little bit more, while I can't draw at the moment.
Be careful, there are SPOILERS TILL ENDWALKER
1. Why did they pick their first class/job? What about the job they main now?
Pugilism was the speciality of some of the crewmembers of the ship she worked on after being picked up on high seas from her little sailboat, while she almost got caught in a storm. They had lovingly looked after Luccia and had also recommended that she first drop by the Pugilist's guild in Uldah, after the young Miqo'te herself seemed to show quite a talent and wanted to leave the ship, to see what the continent is like, she read so much about.
Then, during her actually unplanned life as an adventurer, she had been allowed to get to know and love other classes, but it was with the dancer that she could ultimately identify most. She still had a strong connection to the pugilist, whose techniques she could combine with those of the monk over the time (a crazy journey) , but to coordinate her attacks already from a distance and to combine them with her passion ignites her fighting spirit a lot more.
2. Does your WoL have a recurring nightmare (or more)? What is it?
One nightmare she can't stand is complete loneliness and endless silence. Here she often wakes up in a cold sweat and immediately seeks the proximity of other people, even if she may not speak to them directly, but just knowing that they are there calms her down immensely. (or she runs over to sleep in Rahas room, what happens quite often lately even without nightmare XD (just sleep!))
Another would be when she uses her power against those she is supposed to protect, but either doesn't want to or can't because she has lost control of herself. (when Zenos took her body and made his way to her friends, it was like this nightmare has become true and scared her like hell)
3. Who do they worry about the most?
She worries about everyone equally, knowing that they would give their life to save another. She would accept anyone's decision, but dare to let them die before they haven't find any other solution.
4. What’s their alcohol tolerance like? (if they drink)
She only drinks one wine or cocktail in company when she feels like it and the moment allows it, but otherwise she can enjoy herself very well without alcohol. She prefers tea, coffee and non-alcoholic cocktails.
5. What is the first impression most people have of them? Is it different when they get to know them?
She seems very quiet and shy, which is partly because she has to get to know a person first, but also - which was especially the case at the very beginning of her journey - as she had difficulties understanding the language. When Luccia was picked up back then, she didn't speak or understand a single word, because on her home island - quite cut off from the rest of the world - a completely different language developed after her tribe settled there after the great escape during the third era. In the meantime, she understands most of it and only has problems here and there with the one or other term.
Once she has gained confidence, her wild, bright, sometimes rather impetuous character comes out that others would do well to slow her down now and then.
6. Is that their natural hair color?
Yes. She did try out other colors, but she feels like herself the most with her natural color.
7. How have they dealt with losing people?
It depends on the kind of loss. She accepts death by natural circumstances quite quickly, even if the loss makes her sad, of course. Deaths that she could and should have prevented haunt her forever, even if she doesn't show it that way. Nevertheless, she comforts herself with the thought that a soul cannot die and that one will either see each other again on the other side or that one will not be able to remember the loss after death anyway.
8. How do they feel about the fame/infamy that comes with being a Warrior of Light/Darkness?
It took her a veeeeery long time to realise that she was actually perceived as the heroine (note: this was actually due to the German voice output, in which most of the characters are spoken rather emotionlessly and I was also influenced by other MMOs and the general view that you are only a side character who supports the NPC hero on his journey. It wasn't until I got the idea to change the language to Japanese in ShB(!) that I was so flashed by the emotions and only then really realised "`I`m actually the hero, part of the group and they care about `me`", this is of course just my personal opinion. I know a lot people, who actually like the German dub).
But the titles don't change the fact that her heart fills with warmth as soon as she sees the grateful faces of the people she was able to help. Of course, she also feels annoyed by people who think to exploit Luccia's abilities for their own gain, but in many cases she also sees these requests more as an opportunity than a burden.
9. What does the way they’ve decorated their apartment and/or house (if they have one) say about them as a person?
Total chaos. Nothing is where it should be, clothes all over the floor, the bed is never made. You could say her motto here is "only those who are too lazy to search would tidy up".
She likes to decorate in a boho style, especially with lots of cushions to snuggle up and hide herself in (or the flying around clothes).
10. Do they misuse any of their abilities?
She literally goes on regular monster hunts to supplement her household budget with the body parts she collects or to make herself nice outfits? Probably not what was meant. :)
Oh, but if she gets the opportunity, she will definitely cheat in a card game, so be careful
11. What location do they dislike the most?
She is always glad to get out of cold Ishgard, even though she loves to visit Aymeric and the Fortemps.
And she only visits Garlemald when she looks like the Michelin Man.
She's also a little claustrophobic, so she's also not quite fond of being in Cerberus belly
12. Does anyone call them by a nickname? What do they think about it?
As many have difficulty pronouncing her name correctly at first, she has to compare herself with cappuccino.
Some friends call her Lucci and Raha likes to call her Ccia when they are allone
She doesn't have any problems with any of the nicknames, as long as they are not meant to be derogatory (although when someone called her "fellnasiges Püppchen" ("fur-nosed little doll") , she found it rather cute and flattering than disrespectful .... Maybe it was just because it came from a Lalafell who belonged to the old school).
13. What are their speech patterns like? more formal or informal?
She actually has difficulties addressing people in authority appropriately. That's why it is difficult for her to say "Your Highness" to the Sultana (not only because of her lack of language skills), yet she speaks with the necessary friendliness and respect that one would probably forgive her most of the time (especially after she herself holds the hero status).
With everyone else, she speaks in High Eorzean. If a word creeps in that belongs more to a dialect or slang, it's usually because she learned it that way and didn't know it.
14. If they were not an adventurer, what would they be doing?
Her first intention after reaching the continent was to gain money no matter how, owning a small house for her own and then see what life would bring
Now she can't imagine anything else and as long as she can move, she will continue to want to travel and see the world, because there are many things she never expected to see in her wildest dreams, let alone meet all the people who have now become an important part of her big family.
If they day would come, where she is not able to go on journeys anymore, she will take her saved money to help orphans help themselves by finding their personal talent and trying to teach them how to use it.
15. Which NPC are they the most similar to?
Well... Actually... Azem xD I mean, if she were in the situation of stopping a volcano from erupting just to save her favourite grapes that only grow in that place, Luccia wouldn't hesitate to throw herself headfirst into its mouth either. XD
16. What kinds of weather do they like and dislike? Do they handle heat or cold better?
She don't like the cold and when it's hot she prefers to find a shady spot and snooze.
Nevertheless, she prefers to sweat rather than freeze
Means as long as it is warm, it doesn't matter, if it's rainy, stormy or snowy (... wait)
She's allergic to idiocy, racism, sexism and people who think they have to fight it and don't realise they're no better, which often devalues the efforts of those who deal with real issues (note: oh wait, that was actually me)
Ok, Then she gets a rash from some kinds of mushrooms and always throws up when she eats baked fruits. 🤔
18. What is something they would never tell anyone? (a memory, a wish, anything)
Things that have to do with her past.
The reason why she had left her island, let alone where this island is.
That Luccia is not her real name, but that she only gave it to herself in order to start a completely new life.
(can be of course quite hard not to reveal oneself, when everytime she need to be careful not to use her native language)
19. What level of education do they have?
Basics from her tribe, but most of it she had taught herself.
She had learned the language, as well as how to read and write, on the ship from the crew with whom she had spent two years at sea, as well as from travellers who used the ship for crossings
Also most of her knowledge comes from books, be it non-fiction or simple novels (note: she was so fascinated by one of the characters in one of the novels that she decided to base her new name on it).
20. When in the story was their highest point? When were they at their lowest?
The lowest point she had was whenever she had to watch people die around her without being able to do anything about it.
Be it the massacre at Rhalgr's Reach, the death of Haurchefant, or when people turned into blasphemies
She didn't let it show because she didn't have time to fall into self-doubt, but in those moments she always wondered afterwards why her skills were still not enough to protect all the people counting on her.
The highest she had after realising that she was not fighting alone and every time her efforts are paying off, as well as the moment when she fell in love, not only with a specific city but also with the man who felt responsible in protecting all the refugees, who built this city with their bare hands, although she was too dense realizing, that it was the same cat eared guy she thought of being quite an immature (, but likable) idiot at their very first encounter. ❤️
(like you might have guessed already, I'm not a native English speaker, so feel free to keep every mistake I made)
