Jesse never understood why people stayed in education if it stressed them out. He was almost envious though, as it signified a normal life to be able to worry about such things, not life endangering things. But here you were, sat at the table across from him in your apartment, tearing your hair out at your studies. It was almost cute if you weren’t groaning about how it would have been the death of you.

You flicked the page, the text almost blurring in your vision at your understanding of such a mundane subject, but you were taken out when you felt Jesse’a hands on your shoulders, his fingertips massaging the skin. It was enough to make you purr and melt in his hands.

“Now, darlin’, when’s this test?”

“Next week.”

“Plenty a’time. C’mere pumpkin.”

You looked round to McCree as he loomed over you, his hands now trailing down your arms almost seductively. You shivered, getting up and following him to your couch, about to sit down until Jesse stopped, taking a seat first and pulling you down into his lap.

“Why don’t you take a break, stay with me. I could do with some fine kisses of yours,” Jesse smiled, pulling you down to catch your lips quickly. “No matter how many times I kiss ya, always the same. Sweet as honey, de—“

“Jesse, stop,” you laughed, smacking his chest lightly with a blush on your cheeks.

“That’s what I wanna see,” Jesse grinned. “No girl as beautiful as you should not have a smile on their face. That’s the only thing I want from you, y’hear?”

“Yes sir,” you chuckled, feeling Jesse’s fingers interlock with yours.

“I mean it darlin’. I only want you happy. You deserve it.”

These words struck a chord for you, which made you sit silently. The smile still there, you ghosted your lips over his before kissing Jesse once more, his aroma filling your senses with smoke and honey. This man was a gift from above.
