I only have three doodles to share this week.
I worked on the same pose as last week, but decided to add some other elements from other references, working on the nose and overall shading.
One good thing to note: the face proportions came out better this time!
I tried to use the same template, but I won't lie, I am pretty wiped from work, so this is fairly lazy 🫠🫠🫠
The idea I had for this was a family-tree-type thing, with Freya shown here at the top and her parents below.
This is also the first conceptual design for Freya's Nord father -- who my spouse said looks like the dwarf king from The Hobbit.
That was their exact words xD
"Did you try to draw Thorin? Or the pretty one?" "No..." "Oh, looks great, babe! <3"
So I am strongly tempted to erase the beard. I thought it ended up looking like a simple version of Ulfric -- also not what I was going for...

funny enough i think morrowind almost does the whole "nameless bandits" thing better than any game after it, mostly bc they're literally not nameless. almost every single bandit/smuggler/what-have-you has a fucking name. they're literally whole guys and sometimes they're related to other guys, and sometimes really important guys. galmis dren is not just a random battlemage you fight at the end of nammu. he's evidently a member of the prestigious dren family, which includes the literal duke of vvardenfell vedam dren himself. (i headcanon that galmis is actually orvas dren's illegitimate son.)
like unrelated to the point i was originally trying to make with this post. i love how interconnected the world feels due to the reuse of common surnames. like there'll be multiple people with the same last name, and that doesn't technically mean they're related but it's fun to pretend they are. and you can literally go to the ancestral tombs of LIVING families. eso tried to incorporate the ancestors of several morrowind characters but tbh morrowind did it first and better imo. you can literally go to a tomb and fight the great grandad (as a ghost or bonewalker or skeleton, albeit never named) of somebody you met in ald'ruhn that one time

Been doing some COOL AS FUCK skyrim rp, and my character has been training to be an alchemist As he's been encountering/seeking out ingredients, he's been documenting them in his field journal. I wanted to make that an actual real thing so here's the first two pages! It's been a really fun thing to do while at work, and it's also been helping me understand like, painting and shading and shit Eventually, when I have a whole bunch of these, I would ideally love to print them out and bind them

first, i have three renders on the go but i have only made significant progress on these two:
i have finished rendering bravoyn in his geothermal spring and now i just need to finish his geothermal spring! which I have started doing but it looks like a big mess at the moment lmao.
and the other one i only fairly recently started so its still largely just flat colours
and i've been working on another painting. his skin looks very pale in this picture but it is darker irl. hopefully it'll look better when i scan it. i'm also trying hard not to overwork this one because i think the last two i did ended up with more layers than the paper could take lol.
