yes i may have gotten yelled at for a reason i do not understand and am now sitting at the bottom of the garden to avoid further conflict. but! a cricket has come to hang out with me. joy and whimsey in the world.

i love consulting my nan when i’m making/altering/decorating clothes. she is not alternative in the slightest, she does not know or is only tangentially aware of my trans and queerness, and she would never in a million years wear anything from my wardrobe. but in some ways she knows me better than i do, and when I went up to her with a half constructed skirt and asked what she thought, she immediately told me she liked it and gave me feedback for what she thought would make me like it more, knowing i felt frustrated with the project. i love her.
