hey so does the #ForTerry shit by finale defenders piss anyone else off? like the endless refrains of “this was for terry! this is the ending he wanted! this was what he planned all along!” in addition to being a pointless argument it’s also exploiting a dead man’s name and reputation to distract from the reality that GO3 was a product of Neil Gaiman and two of his friends. it was right there in the end credits. three writers were listed for the teleplay and only Gaiman was listed for the television story. that’s it!
like whose word are they taking for GO2/3 being from plot discussions for a never-materialized sequel to the book? Neil Gaiman?? Pathological liar and serial abuser Neil Gaiman?? give me a fucking break. as if his general character isn’t enough to make it clear he is not a trustworthy source, the man already lied through his teeth about S1 being the totality of show!omens and switched up the story to justify an obvious cash+attention grab. and some people are still taking his word that this is what he and Pratchett supposedly planned? without a shred of actual concrete evidence? i need them to expeditiously get a fucking grip
and quite frankly I don’t give a shit what anyone on the production team or from the Pratchett Estate has said on the matter. because to be blunt i’m sure it eases the discomfort of having helped produce a Gaiman creation post-2024 to focus on the other co-writer of the book and pretend it was for/inspired by him. as for whatever the Pratchett estate has said, shockingly enough being the executor of an estate does not grant you moral authority nor divine omniscience into a dead person’s thoughts. but i do think Pratchett’s whole “bulldoze my works-in-progress after I die” request sent a pretty fucking clear message that his estate ignored in favor of making money. and they got monkey paw’d by allowing Gaiman to continue writing for, and thereby forever tarnishing the legacy of, something that was at least 75% a Pratchett creation.
it’s whatever if people liked the finale but liking it AND spinning a narrative that obfuscates the ginormous rancid elephant in the room is just plain fucked up. like i get this is a “why were YOU at the devil’s sacrament situation” but at a bare minimum i think being in fandom where the source material’s creator did/does terrible things requires honesty and accountability about that fact, but apparently that’s too much for some good omens fans. this is like the final boss of the internet’s misuse of Death of the Author as a way to ignore difficult issues and pretend a creator’s opinions/biases/ideologies don’t influence their creations. turns out you don’t have to navigate complex moral dilemmas if you just distort reality and refuse to acknowledge said moral dilemmas! who knew!
Pratchett wrote a beautiful, complete work. There was no need for a second, let alone a third, season. Crowley and Aziraphale had nothing unfinished business, nothing they couldn't talk about. Hell, these creatures are over 6,000 years old. They've been building and maintaining their relationship for the entire existence of the universe. You think it was easy? Hardly. Can you even imagine the strength of such a relationship? Can any human being boast something so strong that they could teach such creatures anything? No.
If the world was ending you’d come over, right?
Beatrix Potter AU! This was mentioned on the Ace Omens server almost a year ago, finally got time to draw it.
The stupidity of Crowley not having his miracles in the finale has already been thoroughly dissected but I gotta say if they were going to do it, they could have at least been funny about it. Crowley miracles his clothes, right? So he should have been naked. Give us some Crowley bum to complete the bare asses triptych (Eve in S1, Jimbriel in S2). Have him wandering around Soho carrying a potted plant in front of his crotch for modesty.
Unfortunately, I am now picturing Crowley doing exaggerated yoga poses behind strategically placed items in the bookshop like its an Austin Powers film while Aziraphale valiantly tries to avert his gaze.
Sorry, sorry, I could barely sleep last night thinking about this, it's super important that I clarify: Naked Crowley still has his sunglasses in this scenario. They were a designer purchase. The silver scarf stays on as well, for the aesthetics.
Now you can go ahead and picture Crowley lounging in the sleeping bag like Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park: "My eyes are up here, angel."

Say it with me: IT. IS NOT. ABOUT. THE FUCKING. KISS!!! That’s not why people are mad.
The Ending SUCKS because the WRITING SUCKS.
NO, I don’t find the concept of ‘tHeY FiNd eACh oThEr IN eVerY uNivErSe’ beautiful.
1) Because they don’t. There’s zero evidence that this is a recurring thing, thats 100% fandom copium- and even then they don’t have any of their memories and aren’t the same people. THATS. NOT. THEM. And it never will be because people are the sum of their experiences AND THEIR CHOICES. You don’t take a comedy Christian satire and make the solution some Buddhist-esque reincarnation philosophy that requires an entirely new suspension of disbelief no one signed up for or wanted. That’s shit writing.
2) So not only does the finale spit on every theme it had prior regarding championing human choice as miraculous and the world being worth fighting for in all its flaws as it is- you are going to sit here and tell me that actually they never had any choice at all, so they decided to toss everything down the garbage disposal for the next life. That is, frankly, terrible, and nihilistic, and not at all sensible for this series.
Aziraphale and Crowley are a wonderful love story because they were on opposite sides and they CHOSE each other, and they CHOSE to love humans. They chose to be hedonistic and compassionate and selfish and ‘human’ as they were because they knew how to make choices. Their love has always been THEIR choice.
So how can you tell me that the ending is great because they sacrificed everything for humans to have free choice- which they already had by the way- and then say the ending is beautiful because Aziraphale and Crowley are Predestined to love each other in every reality. How is that not massively hypocritical to the concept they are trying to sell us last minute out of nowhere? Is predestiny not the antithesis of what they asked for by your own definition?!
How is taking their 6000 years of choosing each other over and over again, and summing it down to a deterministic soul bond, more ‘free will’ or beautiful than them literally defying cosmic powers just to stay together and eat dinner at the Ritz on a casual Tuesday?!
People act like their life was just complete suffering, but they were perfectly happy on their own earth. Season 1 left them exactly where they wanted to be!!! Together with the Earth. It was so EASY to circle back to that, all they had to do was write it, and no one would have questioned it because that’s THEM and what they want to be doing. If Adam defied Satan for humanity, why would Jesus Christ- who’d already died once for the salvation of humanity- not tell God to be merciful?! Why not have the humans make the choice, rather than Crowley- which is another hypocritical move because he’s making choices for them just like he’s telling god not to!
How do we have any evidence this new world doesn’t have a god? Trust? In the woman who just destroyed the world after having a casual laugh with Satan? Okay. They didn’t trade their existence for freedom, they traded the apple of knowledge for ignorance.
The fact is, is that the world that championed choice and love was the one they came from, not the one they sacrificed themselves for- because choice and love doesn’t mean there are no complications, it means you take a stand and you do what you want anyways.
This dystopian nightmare of an ending where they let the universe die and don’t know each other was never a thought in anyone’s mind until it came into existence with the most shallow and contrived justifications of all time ten minutes before close, and that’s because it’s out of character nonsense.
And I’m sick of hearing ‘they were always gonna be human’ ‘it was always gonna be this way’ like there was rational grounds for it beforehand. No it wasn’t, and it certainly didn’t need to be. At most it was everyone’s joke of a worst case scenario, and that’s what they decided to give us- probably after a quick google search to find out what would piss everyone off the most.
This was Neil Gaiman and his team of horror writers, who probably didn’t even consider the source material, throwing a temper tantrum and abusing the fandom for liking Terry Pratchett’s divine optimism more than his petty ass. They designed every ridiculous contingency in this horrible script to justify their own mess.
The Ineffable Husbands were fine as they were. Even as a Demon and an Angel they were already ‘human’ enough, THATS what was funny. What the hell is so great about being mortal and not being able to have a free table whenever they want, and having to deal with real world shit like taxes, and homophobia, and Dying?
Enough Dyin’. No Maur DYIN’. It’s it’s-ITS NOT ON!!!
The two were horribly out of character this entire film. All the film did was spit on the world building and take the magic out of it.
OK, so I saw the episode of Bad Omens. Anyone know when the finale of Good Omens will air?
That one was cancelled, I'm afraid.
Don't worry guys, they're not actually human! They lived and they're immortal, they're just freaks who like to do elaborate human roleplay with each other every few decades. You know, like couples in a hotel bar. Just to spice things up.
"Oh yes, Professor Crowley, I have just the book for you. 🤭"
"Well well well, isn't it just my lucky day, Ang— I mean..... handsome stranger who I've never met. 😘"
Father's Day
Okay. I'm definitely too lazy to pick apart the pixels and other inconsistencies today, even though they're present in all of Georgia's collage photos from today. But I can't help but point out three things:
1) The person's neck doesn't line up with their collar. David from Georgia's Instagram has a hole where his neck should be. Who's okay with that? We're in a Chesterton story, and one person's head is connected to another's body?
2) Does anyone find it disconcerting that the person's glasses are recessed into the skin on one side of their face? And that the skin near their shirt collar glows a soft lilac? That one eye is higher than the other, and they're angled differently?
3) The man's back is sharpened by pixelated squares, like a hedgehog's by needles. And his arm is simply straight, like a ruler.
This is simply something anyone can (and should) see just by looking at these photos.
Am I the only one who doesn’t like Aziraphale’s long hair?
Like I’m sorry this shit is so tacky and OOC, not to mention out of place in heaven.
Also he had his hair normal, changed it to this (hella impractical) for the war, then changed it back when he went to Eden? Why?
It's just a very weird fan service I think
It's terrible and it makes no sense to suddenly change his hairstyle for this scene. It's completely impractical for a warrior - especially a renowned general or whatever he's supposed to be. Doesn't fit with any of the aesthetic we've seen for Heaven thus far. Really just looks like they raided the Rings of Power costume closet for some reason. Temu Legolas.
Not the only one. It's awful fake hair and it's completely horrible on poor Mr. Sheen. He looks bad. Cheap-lazy-Halloween-costume bad. I didn't think Michael Sheen could look bad until I saw stills from the finale and recoiled.
Honestly it feels like the spite against Aziraphale that infused the entire finale was deliberately extended to the wigs and costumes they put on Sheen.
I just think Aziraphale is great in his consistency. I adore his short curls.
And, frankly, it's always been clear that Aziraphale was never a general. Some junior officer, nothing more. Just remember how the sergeant major yelled at him in the first season.

At the Denver Comic Con, DT mentioned Blake 7 as one of his favorite sci fi series. In January, it was reported that a Doctor Who/Jessica Jones director was working in a revival (admittedly not the first tim one has been considered).
The eponymous captain Blake was originally played by a Welsh actor. The second-in-command (with whom Blake was often shipped by slash fic writers) sounds like a perfect Tennant character.
One can dream, right?
Oh, my. Well, first of all, thank you for sharing this with me! It's been lovely to hear drips and drabs of what David said and spoke to folks about at the two cons he did this past weekend.
But as soon as I read the words "Blake 7" in your ask, I felt activated like some sort of sleeper agent and immediately flashed back to Michael and David in an interview with Ali Plumb/the BBC for GO 2. David says that the opening scene of season 2 is set in space, and Michael makes a comment about likening it to sci-fi, and mentions...yep, you guessed it: Blake 7...
Now, I do realize that David has mentioned Blake 7 previously, over the course of many years, because it seems to be a favorite show of his. But this is yet another instance of David either referencing or outright mentioning Michael in a long line of mentions across multiple interviews over the last two weeks. We had the mention on Live with Kelly and Mark (where David was the one who brought up Michael/Traitors, unprompted), and mentions made by the hosts on The One Show, and BBC 2 radio.
Then yesterday, one MORE Michael-adjacent reference happened with a clip from another of David's interviews where he was asked to pick a favorite piece of classical music...and chose Mozart's "Requiem." As we know, Michael has been in several productions of the play Amadeus (including one coming up for the Welsh National Theatre next year), and David referenced the film Amadeus as well:
But perhaps my very favorite of the multitude of Michael mentions was this little moment described by a fan who saw David at Fan Expo Philly on Saturday. David just casually mentioning that he's going to see Michael next week...
I absolutely love that David just let that slip. Quietly, without fanfare or fuss--perhaps without even thinking about it, because seeing Michael is such a common occurrence for him. It revealed to me more about their relationship than anything we've seen or heard in a long time, and felt so oddly reassuring given the lack of interviews or any sort of promo involving the two of them for GO 3.
And so it's all of this taken together--mentioning or referencing Michael repeatedly, directly or indirectly--that just warms my heart so much. It's that they have so much in common, love the same TV shows and music, and are clearly able to share that with each other. There is no question that Michael is on David's mind (and likely vice-versa), and I am so delighted to know they are a continued, steady presence in each other's lives.
So to your question, I know absolutely nothing about Blake 7 beyond the title, but I can only imagine that the revival you mentioned is one of numerous possible projects for Michael and David to work on together next. And while we certainly can dream of that, it almost feels superfluous given how beautifully sweet and lovely the reality of them is...
May, 31
David Tennant may be seen every day in New York, Denver, and Philadelphia. He may have been filming in Australia before he left for the US and only been in the UK for a couple of days, and even then he was working in full view—those aren't arguments for Georgia.
Dear Georgia fans, you can't be such idiots! This isn't romanticism—it's idiocy.
You don't even want to know your own beloved Georgia. For example: she has short, crooked, and rather plump legs. That's a damn fact. How you think this photo would have looked:
...if Georgia's shin isn't long enough for David to place her foot on his knee and press his cheek against her knee?
Can you even think about it? Or this photo:
Do you really think that if David's fence is thigh-high, then Olive's (she's 158 cm) could be shoulder-high? It doesn't matter how far Olive is from the photographer. Or that Doris could suddenly develop incredibly long legs, even though Georgia posted a photo of Doris a few days ago that clearly shows Doris to be short-legged.
How do you reconcile this? And you want to know something else? Psst... David has a long neck. Yes. Both in his youth and now.
How was he supposed to pull it in to get this?
You know what else is interesting? David's bone structure. Here's a still from the film:
Let's mirror the image for clarity:
First, the neck hasn't yet sunk into the shoulders, but is in its usual place. Second, here's where the collarbone is:
So, in Georgia's photo, it should be here:
But... it's here:
🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️Folk who are ecstatic by this: I sincerely feel sorry for you. You're blind. As they say on the internet: "go touch grass." You spend too much time online and too little time using your brain and eyes. There's no need to look for love where it doesn't exist. There's no need to encourage lies. Such blind admiration doesn't make either the person or the situation better.
**Addition: I previously said that Anna doesn't use Photoshop or AI to make it appear that Michael was with her. But that hasn't been true several times already. Just look at this last photo, where it's clear Michael was simply "inserted" there:
They are here, in every universe. Smitten every time.
In love every time.
Together time after time...
I keep thinking about how many “Michael and David moments” we missed out on because there was basically zero promo for this last season. Michael and David are always brilliant when they’re promoting a project on their own, but together? They gave us absolute gems that fully deserve a place in the history of iconic promo interviews.
The best
Good Omens 3 really gave us a tiny glimpse of Michael Sheen and David Tennant in full romantic-film mode... sorry, but you cannot unleash that level of tenderness on screen and not expect people to immediately start imagining entire films around it. Honestly, put them in a romance immediately. Period drama, indie film, ridiculous Christmas movie, I’m not picky.
Michael and David make falling in love with each other look like the easiest thing in the world. The familiarity, the softness of two people who just fit with each other so effortlessly that you can't even imagine them not being together. It goes to something far beyond acting and it is beautiful to see...

“Any book we write in will be The Book of Life,” Aziraphale said, grabbing the nearest book and whatever writing instrument was within arms reach.
As he wrote, he spoke aloud:
“It was a nice day. All the days had been nice. There had been rather more than seven of them…”
Good Omens 3 SPOILER!
I've recovered from the finale and I'm back to my regular BS!🤓👍
