I'm not entirely sure if you're doing requests right now since you've also just gotten out of your break and if you'd like to write something like this but basically humbling John and talking back at him (?). Like he's being a bit arrogant or whatever and we just put him in his place and insult him a little.
Yeah, sorry if this is not something you want to write or if you aren't taking requests right now but I love your writing style and I have writer's block currently :( so I can't really write this myself.
debut post after being dead :p thank u for the inspo !!!
it was an awful morning. a terrible chill running through camp, contrasting coffee sizzling burning hot on your tongue and your mug slipped from frozen fingers onto your feet. not only did you get a chewing from ms grimshaw, but you had to pick the glass out of your shoes and the unfortunate few that nestled in your feet.
walking past dutch's tent, you don't think much of the hushed whispers between him and john. until your name is being called and your feet are already responding before you can process it.
which is how you end up on a house robbery with john. it wouldn't have been all that bad, if only he would shut his mouth. it didn't bother you until you were crouched beside the farmhouse's porch, and john whispers to you in that same i-know-it-all tone.
"excuse me?" you scoffed.
"it's a stealth mission, y'know? can't risk it with yer.. negligence. i got it m'self." john shrugged like it was the easiest conclusion someone can make.
"what? that's a horrible idea! this house is huge, no way you're finding the safe by yourself. besides, what happens if you're cau-"
he was already crouched by the door and slowly pressing it open, and you watched in disbelief as he disappeared. just like that, in the middle of your fucking sentence. the audacity.
you angrily slumped against the side of the house, heavy and loaded revolver still in your hand.
it just so happened to be his luck. opening the wrong door led him into a corridor where the homeowner stood, shotgun clutched tightly. a shot rang out. two. then silence.
john was still alive. no blood anywhere. his eyes found yours in the darkness at the end of the hallway, revolver steaming.
"what the fuck were you thinkin'?!" you whisper-yelled, grabbing his arm and yanking him into a seperate room.
"you never tell me to stand guard ever again. who do you think you are?" you crossed your arms, earning a heavy sigh from john. his face burned hot from embarrassment.
"i already found the safe and got the money. let's get out of here before you manage to get yourself in deeper shit."
john glanced back at the frigid body, the blood seeping from the back of his skull. then back at you.
"yeah.. okay." he muttered, letting you drag him without as much as a whisper of protest.
