I hate being a designer sometimes because when someone wants me to explain like my sculpture or smth I can drop a 'Yeah, this represents how nature is falling apart and even though I try to do my individual part no one is entirely free of guilt but it's a larger systemic problem that makes everything worse really.' About a couple of birds made outta bottles. But when someone asks me about my design I'm like, 'Prof wanted something that matched the brand and I did that. What? Yeah, no, I mean the text is moved so you can see the image, which is the focus, but- no there's nothing- no it's not a big message. No. Nothing. Seriously.' Because while yes I do design with the intention of someday bettering people's lives by making information accessible and interesting. Like. Every project from here to then individually doesn't get that much thought. And it's hard to explain to people who very much want my design to have a deeper meaning.
