The U.S. government wants to kill many people at the moment, including transgender people like me, the creator of this comic. If I die because of the government I won’t be able to make a comic anymore, which is bad.

Yes, they won this round. Yes, it’s unfortunate. Yes, it’s upsetting, and yes, it’s scary. But we need to take a breath. We need to have a day of respite. This isn’t the end.

It’s not over. The final vote (yes, because they need to vote on this crap three times apparently) is in 2019. Until then, we need to use the anger we might feel, and we need to keep up the pressure and keep fighting.

The changes aren’t going to happen overnight, and even after the votes, every country needs to implement their own version of the law. We have time and we still have a chance.
