It's about desexualizing breasts and "female presenting nipples" and not being criminalized for our bodies if we want to go topless because it's a million damn degrees out. This was a popular growing movement that was still widely known a decade ago!

And the fact that not wearing a bra is so discouraged and stigmatized that people think the movement was about being able to go braless under your shirt in public rather than about being able to not wear a shirt at all says a lot about how far we've backslid in the past decade

i think... the reason some people think the weird route is the "good ending" for Noelle is because they cant accept that real progress is slow and not linear

so WHAT if she feels stronger in the weird route? WHAT if she doesnt change so dramatically in the span of three days? her development in the weird route is not real progress. even if she didnt die she wouldnt have gotten better. you cant abuse someone into being a better person, or being more authentic, or being "stronger". "oh but she was more direct with Susie" because she was suicidal, and suicidal people tend to take more risks and give more stuff away. suicidal thoughts and behaviors are never a "good thing"

real progress does not come from abuse or force. real progress comes from having support. of slowly getting over your fear of mice and finding them cute. of being scared of the lake and slowly getting closer to it. of standing up to your mom defending your girlfriend

of course Noelle doesnt seem as "strong" on the normal route. because its been THREE FUCKING DAYS. nobody should have a major personality shift in three fucking days, thats only something that would happen under severe trauma and distress
