I love these two so much
First ever digital fanart of anything(yea I'm bad at backgroundsπ )
If Aaravos knew that itβs possible for humans to learn an Arcanum like Callum did, why doesnβt he just try teaching them that instead of giving them Dark magic which caused a backlash from the elves?
Well, I personally donβt think that Aaravos ever knew humans could learn an Arcanum (or Arcana). We know that there were humans βlong, long ago in the pastβ who could learn to connect to a Primal Source, but we donβt know if that may predate Aaravos or not, or if this was so rare that even everyoneβs favorite Startouch elf didnβt come across such magical humans. I think that, given his low opinion of humans (going so far as to mock their short βpreciousβ lives), he probably thought stories of such humans were just figures of legend or mere hypotheticals. After all, a human couldnβt possibly measure up to someone like him.
But if he did know of such humans, thereβs another reason why he wouldnβt try to teach humans an Arcanumβa human who could do Primal Magic poses a clear and present threat to him. Not only because it removes him as humankindβs main beneficiary (why would humans need Aaravos if they can just do magic on their own?), but also itβs a direct threat to him. If a human can learn one Arcanum, then certainly a human can learn two. Or three. Or all of them, and thus rival him in power.
Hence why Aaravos might treat Callum as bad news. He risks upsetting the status quo that Aaravos has a vested interest in preserving. Itβs possible this is why the story has Callum as the only living human who knows more about Aaravos than the other way aroundβif Aaravos knew about Callum and his potential, heβd probably either try to convert him into an appprentice (and stymie his potential that way), or eliminate him entirely.
THE DRAGON PRINCE SAID "PRONOUNS MATTER"
Also elves are so fucking pretty oh my god

I almost feel sorry for heterosexual homophobic males who think rock is βfor themβ. I mean peak 70s rock and roll filled with himbos, gender fluids and bissexuals??? All the huge male rock bands wearing high heels and make up? Motley crΓΌe, the highest example of fuckboys trashing hotel rooms, but dressed like this on the meantime
Twisted sister just being twisted sister and saying that if some guy thought that wearing pink jackets with spikes, drag queen make up and heels made them βless of a manβ they could just fuck off because rock isnt about that gender centered shit.
Lou fucking Reed went to conversion therapy for being gay and later on he went and wrote a bunch of rock songs about the LGBT community and traumas caused by homophobia. One of The Velvet Undergroundβs albums was listed by Rolling Stone as the 13th most influential rock album from all time, and it was all about an ex boyfriend named Nico.
ALSO from the first wave of rock and roll in the 60s, The Kinks had Sir Ray Davies, an openly queer vocalist in the fucking 60s who also wrote a popular song about a trans woman (Lola) and had some huge hits people still listen to 50+ yers later. The Who made huge success also in the 60s and Pete Townshend (vocals) came out as bisexual and non binary during an interview in 89!!
Prince on live tv wearing tight pants with huge holes on his buttcheeks and singing about kissing girls and boys.
Even some more βconservativeβ artists in the 60s like George Harrison and Bob Dylan were writing love songs to each other?? One of Bobβs writings to George actually says βAll I have is yours; Iβll let you have me anytimeβ. They were described as soulmates by Georgeβs wife.
To finish my ted talk Iβll just leave Mick Jagger being a himbo with glittery eyeshadow, tight corserts with titties out, low waist tight pants with a PINK BRA ON? Bowie wearing a dress in a 1970s album cover??
Not to mention Mick Jaggerβs wife coming home to find him shagging Bowie on their bed (70s celebrity gossip at its best).
So yes I will take classic rock back for the gaysβ’οΈ and gatekeep it from straig*t man.
i love seeing old people respect young people's genders and pronouns and sexualities like if this 90 year old woman can do it why can't you mom

It may be the end of

shhh! it was supposed to be a secret
Gender abolition, but make it:
clothes sorted by body shape and style, instead of gender
removing unnecessary gender markers from non-medical documents like a driverβs license
genderless bathrooms where the stalls have floor-to-ceiling walls for privacy
abolishing gendered toys, colors, professions, hobbies, etc.
they/them as the default if you donβt know someone
And NOT:
trans and non-binary people being barred from identifying with and expressing their gender
Interviewer: Have non-binary people always existed?
Me, internally: Ok, calm down, he does not want an essay about the queerness of norse mythology and icelandic sagas, do not infodump, do not infodump, do not inf
Me: LOki...
