Here's one for the start of this month. I've missed a couple years here as I've been so tired around this time of year, but here I am.
I know how to make dream catchers (not the ceremony behind them tho) and I own quite a few, I swear I know how they work. Lol. This one's about how as a Mexican American whose grandfather is a high percentage native, I've never been considered "native American" despite being clocked as such a handful of times. Life is strange and the system was made this way for a reason.
Oh yeah, I know I've reposted a lot of stuff, and my posts on this kind of thing have been subtle in the past but this mini series here is all about getting my feelings out and this is a big one for me, so, ACAB.
My dad says one day he hopes I'll just start to feel like I'm enough to have just been alive, I don't know how that'll feel if and when that comes.

So theres this game that's in development and they want submissions for creatures. Regardless of what happens, this is what I entered. It's a chihuahua! I haven't thought of a clever name for it yet or what abilities it might have. I did two versions, because the rules said nature inspired and my first one was too artificial with it's sickle tail, but a sickle styled tail is part of the written standard for chihuahuas in AKC. My second design has a snake's head instead to play off the cobra neck frill and hopefully up my chances of winning. Wish me luck!
I just got news from the editor that we're going to use Paris Metro and Sassoon primary as our fonts! I was playing with the fonts and made this mockup of the text setting. I'm really liking the word Moth on the front cover showing the same image of the milky way as the panels in the frame. The second pic is the milky way image I drew for the cover.
Not yet there with the type setting, but I did talk with the author and his editor and we've got a font picked out! Since the last post had the cover so small, I figured you all might like to see it on its own. Still waiting for the footage from the launch party, my own screen cap didn't get the audio so it'll be a sec.
Today's the launch party! I was on earlier and did my book cover reveal as well as answered some questions about my book. Here's the cover, the text setting is coming soon.
