c!dream's mom ended up meeting and falling for an arapaho man. her family knew and while they didn't approve, kind of turned a blind eye to what was going on. but unfortunately, he was killed and she was left pregnant. when she had the baby, dream, he was white passing which her family was pleased about. they said that she and her son could continue to live with them as long as the baby was raised white and she never spoke of his real father.
at some point, though, dream did find out, mostly because the family expressed their dislike of him once he became unruly and like all racists, blamed it on his parental side. it got worse once his mom fell ill and died. which spurned dream to leave home as soon as he was able to and start trying to make his own way in the world.
the idea is loosely based on a story my aunt told me about some great-great uncle and a movie i watched. i thought it would work well with dream's character and his desire for a sense of belonging and things to be peaceful.
I think dream on the preservation path is really cool (doing everything to keep things as they once were. Also preserving in harsh conditions and always keeping on going)
But his character also works very well with the hunt (having one goal the plan(tm) and doing everything to achieve it)
Hmm i had hsr au thoughts before too where i liked an idea abt dream being on the destruction path, tho not from the beginning. Maybe he first followed the harmony, but as he brought more and more destruction his path changed. I also like the idea of XD as an aeon and Dream being an emmenator on their path

As more news from the attack on CSD Berlin comes, I see more hate than compassion.
It angers me that the conservative right, time and time again uses our community's suffering to promote their hateful propaganda. No, the name, ethnicity or religion of the person commiting such a horrible crime is not an excuse to be racist. No, I will not allow you to use my identity to spread even more hate and discrimination. No, I will not allow such hateful people to erase me and my identity from the public eye.
I will show anger towards all that don't believe in my right to exist as I am. I will show compassion to anyone affected by the attack or living with discrimination. I will show joy in my queer identity.

The links in these comments lead to sites asking you to verify your identity by providing payment information. This is a common credit card scam. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Policy Questions & Abuse Reports.
In the "Brief summary of Terms of Service violation" field, enter "Spambot".
In the "Description of the content you are reporting" field, enter "This is a spambot, their username is USERNAME."
Reporting in this fashion helps us auto-sort your report so that it can be handled as soon as a Policy & Abuse volunteer is available. To help us address reports about these types of bots as fast as possible, please only submit one report per account, and don't include multiple accounts in the same report.
