people harping on about how you’re morally obligated to vote for Joe Biden literally never refer to, like, “the candidate you would have preferred.” they always make some snide, incredibly condescending comment about “just because you can’t vote for your ~fave~” or “just because this isn’t the ~perfect candidate~” and it’s like, the political discursive equivalent of having a punchable face 

like none of these people are ever polite or willing to consider that someone might have valid, understandable reservations or concerns about voting for Biden that they could respectfully discuss (even with the intention of changing their mind!), it’s always about being as shrieky, smug and self-righteous as possible
