It's been a hot minute since my last upload! So I wrote the lyrics, recorded this, and made the video all at 3:00 AM. I make great life decisions.

I watched A Place Further Than the Universe during my first week of college. It really inspired me to make the most of my youth while I still have it! The part with the laptop made me actually sob, though. This anime is truly a masterpiece, and if you haven't watched it, I HIGHLY recommend it!

For me, the end of the year is a time to reflect on how my bonds with others have changed. Sometimes, friends drift apart. Other times, they grow even closer. Both are natural, but it still hurts sometimes. Korekara embodies that longing for old friendships, but also ends with a note of hope. That is why I decided to cover this song for the New Year: farewells are not always final, and like the year, our bonds can be reborn.
