My toys mean the world to me. Should any of them, any, end up damaged or even destroyed, you tell me immediately. I can fix them up, but I can’t guarantee I will trust you again if you are the one at fault.

I don’t make them very often, my medium happens to be wooden, wax, or porcelain, but they’re very handy when I want to relax.

Well, sometimes.

Typically when I’m at my lowest, I’ll sit a few of the dolls down and talk to them.

That’s… sort of what Project Poppet is for.

If I can make myself a new friend without needing to collect a new power source and let them be their own person all the same…

It would be revolutionary and solve my problem.

It’s been trial and error so far, many failed attempts currently…

But I at least have a good idea for it.

You know my typical power source for my toys? Giving them a soul to let them be as human as possible?

Well, I wanted to test my limits I suppose and began designing a porcelain doll who I would hopefully be able to bring to life without the need of one, a toy who could become their own being without anything premade.

So far my attempts have… failed in many ways. Mostly in them not waking up, but some of them have broken or just ended up not looking correct…

I have had to buy a lot more porcelain than I’m proud of…

What methods have you tried? I am aware of how difficult this must be, however, you need to find a source or catalyst for the life.

So, generally, you'd need something akin to that, unless you have a better way to do so?

Well, the doll itself is the catalyst I’m hoping.

Reanimation isn’t exactly my thing, it’s… moreso possession. That’s what makes this so difficult.

I’ve been attempting to find things out from some others, seeing if they know anything about making living toys or beings without the need of a soul, but so far all I’ve heard of is zalgo and…

we all know how we feel about him.

Which leaves this generally up to me, with.. whatever I can figure out.

My other toys feel alive, but they aren’t. It’s all manufacture and programming making it seem like they are. And the ones without it have a soul. I’m trying to find a middle ground where I don’t have to create an entire personality and don’t need to find a soul..

I could perform a similar curse as to my own, but.. I don’t know if it would work on a being with no soul or humanity to begin with.

For it though I would need a secondary object they can attach to, as you’ve seen mine is a music box, I’d have to find something with mechanical usage…

perhaps if I create a heart with mechanical parts I could do it…

Ah- I’m getting ahead of myself, I haven’t even finished the shell-

Have you tried coating the shell in blood? Perhaps it may help.

That may mess with the paint, but I could incorporate the blood into my colors to try and unify them enough…

Blood might be necessary anyhow, so thank you, Painter.

Oh! I forgot to mention! I did finish the doll version of you if you’d like me to bring it by, the blood paint worked wonderfully to get your mask looking correct.

I hadn’t exactly thought of that. I don’t happen to have the skill required for such a task though, as much as it pains me to admit that.

I wouldn’t say I’m old fashioned, I just happen to have older methods!

If I ever do manage to harbor the skill, it would be a fun task I would hope. To try and code something so lifelike you don’t even realize they’re a doll…

How is one supposed to be able to tell if their creation… works?

Most of mine are easy, they have a switch or a soul or even wires-

But this one was meant to be different, and I can’t tell if it hasn’t worked or if they just haven’t woken up yet.

perhaps it’s because I’m still in the midst of designing their outfit? That could be the reason, I’m not sure…

the paint job is perfect, but their form is so fragile due to the method I created them-

if this is a fail, I will just… try again. I’m hoping it isn’t, I think they’ve turned out quite well…

A tiresome day today…

I decided to try and distract myself with something I’ve never tried before.

Most of my works have a lot of soul put into them, but i wanted to see if i could make one so human despite not having that same creative process…

I call them Poppet. I’m still in the designing process, but I’m hoping it can turn out well.

If this works, it’ll be revolutionary for the emporium, truly.
