PAIRING : Park Jimin x Reader
If Park Jimin was anything, he was a sweet romantic.
He was so patient with you, so loving and so kind. He never pushed you to do anything you weren’t comfortable with and when the two of you first gotten into a relationship, he promised to take everything at your own pace. He told you that no matter how slow your pace was, he’d wait and follow it. Honestly, it was too sweet and when he had told you that, you literally felt your heart melt into a puddle of mush in your chest. The two of you had been dating for a total of three weeks and Jimin had taken you on about five dates so far, each one just as romantic as the last. Honestly, through a majority of the dates you found yourself staring at Jimin with adoration clear in your gaze, wondering how you had managed to get yourself a man like him. He was the sort of person fanfictions were written about, honesty. I mean, fanfictions WERE written about him because he was a very famous idol, but I digress.
Currently you and Jimin were just chilling in your apartment, as it was raining cats and dogs outside. Jimin had no schedule today, which was rare but very much appreciated. It was nice to get some quality time with him after he had been so busy with the latest comeback. I mean, Lord knows he worked his ass off due to his perfectionist nature and, well, sometimes it made you worry for him a lot. Especially when he would work for god knows how long, only to completely pass out on the nearest soft surface — actually, no, sometimes he’d even pass out on the floor and whenever he did that, you know he’d had a particularly hard day, where he had probably been particularly hard on himself. Luckily, today wasn't one of those days. Instead, the two of you were completely relaxed, basking in each others presence as a random movie played in the background on your computer screen ( the two of you were on your bed and, well, you were using your laptop to watch netflix ). You gaze wasn’t focused on the screen, of course — no, instead it was focused on the recently dyed blond haired male whom you were currently cuddling. Jimin was sat up against your beds headboard, both of his arms wrapped securely around your waist. You were sat up as well, your head resting on his shoulder, a leg thrown over his lap haphazardly , your arms wrapped around his lower torso. It was honestly quite a comfortable position to be in, not to mention the fact that Jimin was quite warm to the touch so he worked as your own personal heater.
“Chim…” You spoke, voice soft as to not break the cozy atmosphere the two of you had created. Jimin let out a melodic hum, his gaze moving from the screen to your face as his head tilted a little to get a better look at you. “I really like you.” It was a rather random thing to randomly bring up but, for some reason, it just felt right to say and Jimin’s reaction made you feel even better about saying it. A wide smile graced his features, his eyes crinkling up into their classic crescent shapes that everyone and their mothers absolutely adored.
“Y/N, you stole my heart.” Was Jimin’s mummered response as he leant down to connect his plush lips to your forehead in a fleeting kiss. But, you wanted more — of course you wanted more. You had been waiting long enough for your first kiss with Jimin and, thus, when Jimin pulled away from the skin on your forehead, you tilted your head upwards and connected your lips to his.
The kiss was hesitant, barely there yet breathtaking all the while. Unlike how the movies and books described it, fireworks did not go off throughout your entire body. No, rather your heart began to fill with a warmth you couldn’t quite describe that began to run throughout your entire body, from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
Jimin was clearly surprised by the sudden action but, nonetheless, one of his hands moved from where it had been resting around your waist to gently cup your cheek, increasing the pressure of the kiss. A pleased hum left your lips and for a few prolonged moments the two of you stayed like that, until your lungs began to ache for oxygen, causing you to gently pull away.
Your gaze locked with his once both of your eyes fluttered open once more and immediately a grin graced both of your features. The kiss may have been unexpected but, nonetheless, it was so worth the wait. It wasn’t planned, no, but it was still special to the two of you and it’d be something that you would remember for the rest of your relationship.
