we're sorry to say that Needabeta will not come back online.

We hope it was of use for the eight years it was live, and we trust someone, somewhere will build their own project, with better tools and easier searchability for a more phone-based audience perhaps!

Anyone who might use the name Needabeta will not be us, and will not be using the Beta File information.

the Beta File is unavailable for now, due to an abuse report sent to Google on the basis that it violates personal information rules.

As far as we know, there is nothing that warrants this, but we have no details on what caused this.

All information on the file is provided by volunteers, the form doesn't ask for personal information, and edits and deletions can be requested via asks and submissions (no account needed).

We are discussing options and will update as the situation evolves.

we don't have more information than what is in the Beta file; if Fola has not updated their contacts via sending us an ask or submission we can't get in touch either.

But! Perhaps they'll see this ask and get in touch? If not, you can always check out other volunteers; many are open to working with any fandom, fandom-blind, etc!

Hi, so I realized that I made a few mistakes in filling in the beta file, and I want to change some things. I’m row 1573 by the name marikurin_ 

I forgot to add my Tumblr user, marikurin and my AO3 user of the same user

And I forgot to say that I’m willing to beta for any fandoms, but especially the fandoms I mentioned before. 

And I js wanted to add Chinese Simplified onto the languages, though I’m not that confident in it, like Indonesian, so is it possible if the language bit is changed into English, Indonesian (not as confident), Chinese Simplified (not as confident) ?

And I wanna add onto the kinds of beta-ing, as I’m willing to help with Chinese and Indonesian dialogue bits.

Nope! No money should be involved; you can read our more detailed answer in the FAQ. If we're talking fanworks, this is not something one pays for.

There is also a non-zero risk of scammers getting involved, so if you see money being asked, it's probably not a good sign.

there is an entry on that topic in the FAQ: no one is going to check, and no one can verify your age if you give it. "Minor" also doesn't meant the same everywhere about the same topics.

Many Beta Volunteers will not work on NSFW, gore, or other stuff; it might be because of their age, or it might be personal tastes. You don't have to disclose your age, but you really should be clear about what your nopes are and when talking to your beta / writer.
