7th Floor is autistic and that’s why he’s Like That™️
the 8 show is just. hell is other people.
1st floor's humbleness turning into bitterness as he is constantly pressed down into the dirt over and over by the other contestants, making him realize that he has always been at the bottom of society and always will be. 2nd floor's strong sense of individuality, her ability to lead corrupting into tyranny and an inability to trust because of the other contestants' inconsistency with which side they're on, who they're working for.
4th floor's upright, cheery customer-service attitude slowly burning her out to seem irritable and arrogant because of how much she needs to suck up to the higher floors, just to keep herself safe.
5th floor's kindness. her constant compassion and want to help others being manipulated by her alcoholism and all the other contestants, making her hallucinative and desperate to be loved and praised, desperate to save the show and its contestants. eventually making her make the biggest mistake of all.
everyone talking about how 8F didn’t face consequences but i think it’s a nice little metaphore of how those on the top of society are beyond the laws; the lower, middle, working classes will get their asses beaten, but the people above them, the one who makes them fight will always remain untouched, because they’re the ones who can afford this
1st floor says that he’s glad he has the first floor because it would be hard to get up anyway due to his leg, but considering the floors as a social food chain it’s really that his bad leg is keeping him from moving up floors, how in society those with a disability (physical or other) tend not to even get a chance to move up.

I love how the show set this up to make it sound like he was part of the behind the scenes but no. He's innocent. Floor 7 is treated by a villain this entire damn show when he isn't, he's just doing what he can with what he has.

Day 1: togetherness
these two gay bitches are gonna be the death of me I swear I can’t stop thinking about them, anywayssssss I really love how Jinsu specifically turned out in this one!!! I thought it would be really cute to conceptualize them meeting up outside of the show and reconciling aghhhhh I love them
Day 2: vulnerability
Idk guys I was planning to render more of these but I got taken away with this one 💔💔 it doesn’t even really look like him I just liked the concept and I was dying from my health that day so I could only draw and this is what happened lmao
Day 3: Looking in
This may or may not be a reference to the June Henry song looking in 😛 anyway the ide for this one is that both of them are overcome with the show even past its end and are even more overcome with EACHOTHER EW!!! GAYS!!! But yeah there’s two versions just bc I really liked how they both turned out and the one without references to them in their eyes is really cute for just like them in general!!
Day 4: searching and finding
Possibly maybe maybe another June Henry reference, this one’s for the song „bloodhound“ 😝😝 uhm uhm this is hide and seek I’m not a freak guys I promise this one’s my least favorite so far 💔
Day 5: wish fulfillment
I think this one’s my favorite so far ahhhh, it’s also them outside of the show and I just AGHHHH I love them
Day 6: memories
I HATEEEEE this one guys srry, genuinely don’t like it it pisses me off, I had an idea and just don’t quite have the skillset yet to execute it :((
Day 7: fear
I also hate this one, I really just wanted to draw the sleep deprivation mechanism, might come back to drawing this again NOT for this prompt list, I might make a little calendar for the list even though ik it’s just gonna be me using it, I like making visuals for what I’m doing so it’d be fun!! :33
Second week of 21st floor-tober!!!!
Day 8: comfort!!
This one’s alright!! I would sort of place this drawing after the first revolution but before the toenail incident!!!
Day 9: betrayal
This one looks really lazy, honestly might draw this scene for real eventually so stay tuned I suppose!!!!
Also small rant, a lot of people for some reason interpret this scene as Phillip sort of planning out his betrayal of the lower floors but I see it a lot more as testing the waters with the higher floors so that he could get in their good graces in order to gain the power to prevent the worse case scenario (obviously this didn’t happen but it’s OKKKKK)
Day 10: freedom
I love this scene sm im definitely going to redraw this scene sometime in a full illustration!!!! The anatomy sucks on this one and it barely looks like either of them but it’s ok I got the energy across ok I think
Day 11: nerves
This one is one of my favorites so far, I love the idea that they are both nervous wrecks but in very different ways. Phillip is a lot more blunt but what he isn’t able to verbalize his very nuanced feelings, Jinsu on the other hand has words but can never piece them together properly!! Their dynamic makes me so happy I just want them to have their happily ever after :((
Day 12: rememberance
If it’s not obvious this one is very heavily based off of the scene in sg where Inho brings gayeong her fathers things
I think if Phillip didn’t attempt to keep his ego intact after the show and Jinsu had the motivation and courage to reach out individually this is what would have happened
Day 13: habits
Played around with stylizing them more, I don’t like it but fuck it we ball ig… this is mostly based on headcanons I have in a few of my unpublished fics abt them (I have so many I just keep forgetting to proofread them) sooooo yeahhh
Day 14:
Don’t pay attention to the fact that it’s sideways shhhhh shh shh, anyways this one’s my least fave of the week, I think I’m gonna play around with their stylization next week and how I can make them still look like them, that might be fun!!
Day 15-17: sorry, forgiveness, favorite scene
The scene where Phillip is tied to the carousel is my favorite NOT BECAUSE HES TIED UP!! (Only a little bit bc of that) but no on a more serious note it’s my favorite bc it’s a point at which we truly see that Phillip is VERY emotionally involved in this despite how much he tries to hide it, i actually have SO MUCH to say about this scene but ill save that for the tags
