i am a 23 y/o bedbound intersex lesbian who is autistic & was a dependent adult on my abusive mom until she disowned me, & by extension my gf who caregives for me 24/7. she coldly kicked us out with 2 hours notice. Sleeping in a cramped car is increasing my frequent shoulder injuries– but shelters are crowded, dirty & dangerous for a severely immunocompromised person. we are hopeful about this unique program i’m in, that it could avoid 2 major, overdue, surgeries. but that’s10 more expensive weeks here. 3 weeks in, we’ve run out of houses we can bounce between for free. we urgently need financial help getting accessible housing here and paying for medical transportation until we can move in with chosen family in Fall.
