RJ stood in front of the window, looking at all the different technology on display. Even though it has been some time since he arrived here, it was still so overwhelming to him, getting to witness technology that he had only heard about from stories. RJ was still adjusting, slowly figuring out how technology worked. He had a cell phone in his hand, that he had bought himself recently, but he was still figuring out how it worked. âItâs crazy that we have these to communicate from a distance, theyâre much cooler than radios.â He said to the person next to him, a smile on his face. âAlthough, a cell phone is a lot more complex than a radio, still trying to figure it all out.â
Beth had just been admiring the phones when the person next to her had decided to speak. Beth was friendly my nature, and so she was grateful for the any sort of interaction that she got to have. She didnât think anything of what he said, didnât have the memories to truly understand what he meant. âIt is sort of crazy, youâre right. The way technology has advanced and we can all just get ahold of each other...whenever we want.â Beth didnât have very many contacts in her phone. It seemed that although she was friendly with most people, she wasnât close enough to them that their numbers lived in her phone. Her own mobile device was tucked in her back jean pocket, part of her wanted to pull it out, but she didnât. âTheyâve got all these new features now, thumbprint recognition and face id. Honestly Iâve always thought it was kind of unnerving the way they can just read you so simply. Not like theyâre alive. Almost like all those movies about technology taking over the world donât seem so far fetched.â She joked lightly, offering a kind smile.Â
