Memoirs of a Hijabi

I will not change who I am to please the likes of others, or because I for some reason make them feel bad for who they are just by merely being who I am. I try to be an honest person and a sincere person. I enjoy to see others happy, I hate people who can not honor their word. I respect those who forgive and stand up for what is right. I like to think that I am perfectly capable of doing anything regradless of my size and stature (with the help of Allah of course). I hate those who compromise themselves. I hate excuses, they are an ignorant mans weapon. I hate people who blindly follow. I love people who know that everything that we do on this earth whether it be an academic education or working in general is what we do to live. On the same note i love people who understand that we do NOT live for our work. I think that people should realize that life is temporary and that we are accountable for everything we do, down to an atoms weight. I think that strength is when you take the hard route, the path for those with courage. I do not want the material things that others have, I want and appreciate what I have. I will not live up to the expectations of others and I do not expect others to live up to mine. I am a stranger in a world of familiar faces and when the time comes only a few will understand this. To think for oneself is not a burden it is a luxury that is often unnoticed. ~me
