LORDDDD what are they feeding to the writers of this show????'? because they've been making good shit lately
I wouldn't say this is the heaviest episode of the series, as some people on twitter have been saying. It is sad, and it is good, but i it's just not that impactful to me, i feel like we've been here several times before
Things i liked:
-The whole premise is so fun to me.
-The vibe of the first 4 minutes of the episode was SO cool to me, i wish this discovery of Ted's real identity took more(most) of the episode. but i'm the audience, i don't know what i want
-love how even erasing most of his memories, Ted is smart enough to build a ship with scrap and travel the universe.
-I love that Ted can't figure out how to make portal fluid, he is so unbelievable intelligent yet he still can't. Really puts into perspective the gap between a normal/clone rick and our rick.
-This is just his origin story again
-Marjorie is very pretty. i love that a fat older woman can be a romantic interest in this show. Ted MOVE you can't handle all that
-Rick's realization at the end. There's no world where he will be happy. I love that-
-Morty lying to rick. Felt so real, if you have had alcoholic relatives i bet you can relate to this part of the episode lol
-That exact frame frame. I thought they were going to kiss
-Shit, the whole 20 seconds after this scene, too. LOVE how Ted just fucking leaves with the beer. He might not remember who he is but he still has those fucking rick instincts (rickstincts)
-Antonio, i liked how he was shorter than the rest. Kinda wish that rick kept the sanchez name just because i would like those two to bond over being latinos. YEAH Rick (Ricardo) Sánchez is chilean CANON, i'm literally the lead writer of the show.
-(also thank the lord they didn't call him Juan or José i'd be so angry)
-OH THE SCENE WITH THE LEG TELEPHONE WAS COOL AF, I BET THEY'RE REFERENCING ANOTHER MOVIE??' I JUST LIKE HOW SCARY IT IS
-The hologram ricks, i love themmmmmm
-funny how morty was so preocupied about the leg telephone
Things i disliked:
-Ted's friends shift in personality towards the end of the episode felt a bit weird. I get what they were going for of course (Teds life is very idealized, he only gets to meet these people 2 weeks a year, of course they're not always their best selves), but still it felt like they wanted to artifically make the whole thing sadder.
