Now all I can picture is him getting sober and cutting it by himself (because he can't trust hair stylist to not impale him with the scissors!) while Allison asks why he's cutting it.

1) In the ‘real world’ every single one of them is severely depressed. They were forced into that domestic life. Things probably would be different if they still had their powers, but no way to know for sure.

2) Lila and Five ran and ran and ran for over six years. They ate subway rats and anything they could forage in each timeline. They were attacked in several timelines. And finally they chose to rest in one place.

3) She’s not happier with Five. She is still severely depressed. Having the ability to smile about something doesn’t mean they are happy. And as soon as she found out they could get home, she left. And I think if he’d chosen to stay, she would have left him behind.

4) Finally, look at her face. She’s exhausted and sad. It looks like even that little smile took effort. It doesn’t happen often.
