This is super old but I waited because if I submitted it immediately it’d be kind of obvious who I was…

I drew someone’s dragon on a “draw the dragon above you” thread. I made it fully shaded and everything. After I posted it, they took posted it in the dragon’s bio without crediting me or even talking to me beforehand.

It really upset me. I spent a lot of time on that art and they didn’t even bother to post two simple words under it. I never had an issue with this before but when it actually happened to me I just felt taken aback.

In hindsight, I should have contacted them. But I was just too scared. If it happens again though, I will.

also I guess make sure they didn’t link back to you via clicking the picture. I do that for most of my credits if I haven’t written it out. I realize you are upset about the credit?? But you wrote this focussing on the quality of your artwork, not the issue of the credit.

I get really anxious when I do those kinds of threads, especially if I have to make a new post to compliment one artist for their artwork; so I just don’t.(Firstly because what if someone gets skipped because of my dumb post, And I can never tell if editing the one I have will definitely go through, sometimes they don’t.) I’ll credit the artwork if I put it in a dragons bio, but some people don’t like to socialize.(I realize the forums are a social place, but some are less social than others. Draw the dragon above you is one of the less social places that allows non-written communications with artwork.)

TLDR; Don’t expect every single person to applaud your work publicly, or at all. Some people interact differently than you do.

uhm, the linked thread has nothing to do with baby items for adult dragons. did you even read any of it? A lot of people kept being weird and insinuating that, but the OP of that thread kept correcting them and saying “only for EY dragons.”
