Hey guys..! So… I’m not dead.
Contrary to… all current evidence.
My life sort of exploded, and the comic took what is probably the furthest back seat possible while I’m trying to sort it out. Sorry for the lack of communication on this one.
Things That Have Happened, Not Necessarily in Order, In This Year Alone:
The lead for the department at my actual, real person job up and left, and I was chosen to take up the mantle after he made the whole place a shitshow in his last two weeks of work. I was not properly prepared for this position, and suffered massive burnout.
Due to a very convoluted wild goose chase for the cause of a very painful episode, it was discovered that I have a mass in my lung! That is going to be removed in February.
A series of losses in my personal life in a quick succession that, all told, felt like God was targeting me personally with some sort of vendetta.
I moved to a new house! And encountered all of the friction an obstacles that come with such an endeavor. We've just recently fully unpacked all of the boxes.
Went to Europe???????????
My car that is no older than ten years old broke more than once this year, one of which being my windshield wipers stopping mid wipe in the pouring rain while I was on the road and I had to have my house mates come and get me and lead me home in one car while the other drove my car and I operated the windshield wipers with the both of our shoelaces tied together as well as to the windshield wipers! (This lasted for 20 minutes)
Several emotional breakdowns related to this list in general, causing my mental health to yet again plummet much like the U.S. economy.
All in all, it has been an absolute shit show of a year and I think God hates me. I'm hoping for a much better 2026, and do plan to come back to comic work soon. I dare not make any predictions, lest I jinx myself and somehow cause a worse year. But, with luck, the comic will return soon. No ideas when it will return just yet, but it's starting to work its way back to the front seat with all the grace of a cat trying to escape a bathtub covered in coconut oil with shampoo in its eyes. Slowly but surely and full of rage. By God, I hope that this calms down soon.
