The 25 foot tall wingless dragon looked petrified. He had no clue what this was. All he knew was that it was needlessly huge, and it made him very nervous. Baydrake backed up several paces. He was unsure if it understood any spoken language so he had not yet activated his speaker collar. He whined a little. Oh man this was BIG.
he looms high above, his scutes rippling with light as soon as he sees the other creature- not threateningly, but in an attempt to communicate, unsure of what it will understand; its small, compared to him, but still larger than the little soft creatures that populate most of the planet after his long hibernation. when his scutes do not produce any response but a whine, he opens his jaws and trumpets a call- a greeting sound, one he hopes the creature will understand and be able to respond to.
a forward lean follows suit, flaring nostrils revealing inhalation as the great Titan takes in air to try and scent the small creature- the dragon- and understand its being, now that it’s hovering and doing flips in mid-air; it’s certainly different from the one other dragon he’s met, after all, that golden terror.
name? Baydrake? I am… Godzilla.
“Godzilla… Well hi….” Baydrake froze when Godzilla leaned forward as well. Sniffing at him as well. The dragon carefully landed on the Titan’s snout. He remained light on his feet in the event Godzilla did not like him perched on him.
“I’ve never seen anything like you at all before… Have you always been in this world?”
an unlikely thing happens at the light touch of Baydrake’s feet on the Titan’s nose; the massive being shivers and then sneezes, an echoing thunder of sound that ends in a faint bleat of surprise before he steadies himself and responds.

she thanks him for saving them? that’s new; most of the little ones just look at him as a mindless beast, and while he is not so as to think that he is the greatest intellect, mindless he is not.

he leans over until he can see her better, hunched with his arms tucked towards his chest to make better room for his knelt head. he considers her with massive amber eyes, blinking slowly with twin lids.
She blinked up into those giant amber eyes. Skylie reached a hand up towards his nose. Pale fingers spread wide apart. The child had always been curious about the King of the Monsters. The albino patted Godzilla’s nose gently. “Were they the only ones cause the imbalance?” she asked.
The way she had it figured, there were others out there. Like the MUTOs.
he bristles at the thought of others, but takes care to remain still, knowing he’ll harm the little one if he reacts otherwise; instead, he just blinks at her, letting her see that he’s aware that she’s touching him, even if he can’t really feel the sensation of the pats on his snout.

he hopes that ominous warning isn’t too much, but it’s honest- and he’s nothing if not that, because what purpose does something like him have for something like lies?

her cheek is soft when he touches it; softer than, perhaps, anything he’s ever touched, and yet her skin is faintly rough at the same time, though maybe he’s feeling more of his own callouses in the motion of his thumb- and he wonders how that feels, the stitches of skin that catch on hers, as he examines the depths of her eyes; equals, they are, that much has been clear from the beginning, despite any former divides. in these forms, they are King and Queen, two regal beings of royal blood.
he could look for words to say to her, look for something romantic and round-edged to make with his words, but those aren’t what he’s good with; he’s good with actions, moreover, with taking a deep breath in and moving fast, so that’s what he’ll do now, instead of mulling any further over what is to follow- what once would have been the collision of tectonic plates, the fusion of radioactive powers, is now simpler, and yet more profound.
lips meet lips in a collision with as much force, and he could not tell anyone who might have asked after who truly initiates the kiss, but once it’s begun, he understands that there are some things that don’t need to be known- just felt. so he feels it, warm and blossoming like the wings of the great ones that flew long ago, many-colored and fantastic, one hand cupped against her cheek as he tilts his head into their embrace, finding her hand with his free one so that he may knit his fingers through her opposite ones.

he’s startled by her, somehow, by the reptilian shade of her eyes; oh, she’s like him, that’s for sure, even if she’s of a different breed. they are something similar; where he is King, she is not far from being the same in her own vein, and utterly unexpected as well.
once so large, he has missed the passage of time, and of science, perhaps, in this world of his- a science that has changed the world so immensely.
“What’s your- name?”
"No need to thank me. That’s what leadership does.“ She replied, giving him a warm smile. They we’re very similar to one another. Both king and queen. His scent was similar to her very own. While she didn’t have the capabilities as he did, they both were at the very top of humanity.
"Rexy. Queen of Isla Nublar.” She replied before glancing down. “Well, was. My home was destroyed but I still am a queen.” Sadness was in her voice at the mention of Nublar exploding. She missed it greatly and there wasn’t anything she could change about that.
Taking a step towards him, tilting her head, she admired him more. Gazing and trying to place what exactly he was. “What’s yours? I figured you were a king. The vibe coming from you gives it away. You’re far more powerful than I can ever be yet, so similar to me.”
“I am... Godzilla. I was a- a Titan.”
speaking his own name feels powerful, the way that it rolls off the tip of his tongue and layers itself into the air; he is glad to have something of his old self that remains, even if he’s not sure how much his it truly is, since the humans gave it to him, and not his family from long, long ago. all the same, he enjoys the sensation.
“You lost your kingdom? I’m sorry to hear that. But, you’re right- no one can take what we are away. Even if that changes.”
he tilts his head in the same manner that she does, and takes her in; the familiarity he senses from her, along with her title, ‘Rexy,’ gives him mild definition of who she is, on some level- but still he is curious.
“I sensed that you were a Queen. That’s why I came to you. I’m... confused, in this world. The humans’ world. I need- help.”

Skylie squeaked in surprise when he shook himself. Much like a dog. The albino decided to try and hold her ground. Though very nervous about doing so. She cleared her throat and attempted to communicate.
“H-hello?”
he hears a small sound underneath the crashing of the waves and pauses to look down at the ground, finding one of the soft ones at his feet; if he had strode forward a few more steps, he might have utterly crushed them. instead, he has taken notice.
scutes flare with light, a confused attempt at communication; he does not know how to talk to the little ones, not like his own kind, for all his attempts since his own awakening.
The flaring lights surprised her. Skylie was pleased that he didn’t step on her. However she had mixed feelings about the glowing scutes. She took a couple steps back from his feet. Craning her head back to look at him. “Godzilla… E-everyone’s been talking about you. You saved us before from the other monsters…” The MUTOS. The MUTOS had been terrifying to hear about. Walking EMPs eating nuclear items. Not a good combo.
One pale little hand came up. “My name’s Skylie!”
he towers there for a moment, arms poised at his sides, trying to figure out how to speak to something like her; the small ones speak in such complex tongues, versus his own species more minute differences in their communications, that he’s not sure they’ll be able to properly understand each other.
however, he knows one way of communication that might work, if her mind is open enough to the world, like the humans who translate for him to the others, and his own is still large enough in its nature; he releases a long huff of air that fogs the sky before his maw, and then thinks.

Baydrake jumped a little at the call. But recognized it for what it was. And returned with one of his own. And then tried ‘talking’ to the creature. His collar lit up. “Hey there! Ah… You’re huge… Are you a dragon?” The questions he had for this Titan had no end. He was now very curious.
dragon? am not dragon. am bigger. am different. but am... maybe similar.
his mind makes these words, forms them and emits them, potentially to be heard, and potentially not. he can’t speak, not like the dragon before him, but he can do his best to be heard if one listens closely enough.

atomic-shaded harsh blue light floods around him from the bulbs above his head, a veil of his past self that falls across like a blanket to comfort him in his much smaller form, shoulders steeled against showing the anguished confusion of a monster turned man- of a Titan lost of his own form; he will not show weakness.
“I’m a King. Nothing about that has changed. I have a kingdom to protect, and I intend to do my duty. The problem is... I don’t even know how to be human yet. I don’t know how to fight for my world like this.”
he doesn’t know this form the way he did his last- doesn’t know its hands, doesn’t know its legs, and certainly doesn’t understand the rest any better, so soft and malleable, without fire in its belly. he wants to be big again, wants to be strong again like he was then, but those days are in the past now.
his fire is lost to him. deny it as he might... everything has changed. but he’s a King.
