Just recently I realized I have been holding myself back from doing things that I love or wanted to try because I wasn’t confident in myself. Being in ACE and being around the people here helped me find that confidence and allowed me pursue all the things I’ve wanted to try. A poem for all of you <3

Thank you so much. I have done a lot of soul searching in woods. As a result I feel more present and I am working on forgiveness and a number of other things.  I like your blog too.  Self happiness is hard journey but its worth all the lessons and the pain.  Same goes to you if you wanna talk about anything I am here.  I’m just gone in the woods 8 days at a time so if I don't answer for a while that is most likely why.  Have a wonderful 8 days!

We balance each other out.  There are two of each element — two fire, two water, two earth, and two air.  We are not here by chance our coincidence.  We are meant to be here at the resting place of the great spirit, Inyo National Forest.

I love existing

I recently decided to make a bold move to further my career as a conservationist and a biologist.  I joined the American Conservation Experience as an Americorps Member based in the Sierra Region of California.  I cannot possibly convey how this experience has changed my life and my outlook.  There is something about working hard, getting dirty, and not showering for 8 days straight that changes you.  During this time here I have pushed myself harder, grown more confident, become more spiritual, and slowly finding myself. I honestly could not be happier with my decision.

Since being in California I’ve have had the time of my life. I’m surrounded by positivity everywhere I go. The people here love what they do and take pride in every aspect of their work and their personal lives. People live breath and eat conservation and it’s so inspiring. It’s only the first week and my life has changed.

After the most challenging and difficult few years of my life I am so excited to announce that I accepted a position as a Corps member with the American Conservation Experience partnered with AmeriCorps in Santa Cruz, California for 6 months. I’m am so thrilled to have this opportunity and cannot wait to see where it brings me. #goingtocalifornia #conservation
