Just discovered this...I'm pathetic.

They are amazing live...but I'm too old to be staying out this late on thursdays :( 

In honor of going to their show tomorrow at the music hall of w'burg, I'm gonna go ahead and post this right here. They are completely overlooked and underrated, but their songs are catchy with just the right balance between indie and pop. Plus this mv has a bunch of things I love: union pool, booze, good times and most importantly, tacos. Because I fucking loooooove tacos!!

They are amazing live. If there is any band you should see live, it is PHOENIX. Not because they have particularly stunning visuals, but because they are just so FUCKING ENGAGING. Mars walks around the stadium and crowd surfs and lets people come up on stage to dance with them during their last song. They know their success comes from the fans and they can't show their appreciation enough. Humble much? Plus Mazzalai is amazing. That kid KNOWS how to jam (beautifully).

I know nothing about this band except that I like their music. This is some serious "young people around the world unite/we can take on the world" shit.

Project X soundtrack is sick. I normally don't like remixes and I don't think I've ever used the word "sick" to describe anything, but this song and Heads Will Roll by YYY (Atrak remx) is...SICK.

It all started with this song. Summer of 2010. Age 21. Paris the City of Love. 95+ F degrees for months..hell of a way to learn the French sincerely did not believe in ACs. I was single, broke, depressed, insecure and lonely. No identity. My French was real shitty too. It was all so perfect.
