After my righthand nigga Loko got himself locked up, I found myself in need of a new nigga to fill that important position. I had fifteen niggas working for me and out of that fifteen, only one was reliable enough to be my number two. His name was Meek and he was just as loyal to me as Loko had been. The only problem was I couldn’t tell if he would be down to fulfill all of Loko’s duties. “None of y’all niggas gettin’ hit up right now?” I asked the five who’d shown up that day.
“Nope,” they all answered.
“Shit, y’all ain’t gettin’ paid then. I’m not payin’ y’all to sit around and play 2K17 all fuckin’ day.”
They all shrugged their shoulders and put their focus back on the videogame. I gave Meek a look as I shook my head and sat down on the sofa. I closed and locked the door before picking up a blunt I’d rolled earlier and lighting it. I took a hit from it before asking him, “You good, bruh?”
He laughed a little as he replied, “Yeah, I’m good.” His smile faded as he asked me, “Yo, I didn’t do some shit to piss you off, did I? Because if I did…”
“Nah, we good, my dude. I just need to talk to you about some shit I’ve been thinkin’ about.”
“A’ight. What’s good, Marz?”
I sat down on my bed and asked, “How would you like to make more money?”
