after dark

Nothing else really changes apart from Ryu’s age ( minus two, welp ). I’ll try to get back into the groove of things, apologies for the sudden disappearance and hiatus.

seeing the other take her warning as a harmless joke, an audible scoff escaped her lips. her nose almost flared after his sarcastic response. she slammed both hands on the table before staring directly at his soul. ❝no, not yet. but i’m pretty sure i’d see you being scared out of your pants once i do it. so you better stop fooling around.❞ soa would let him off like that. that cereal bar was precious to her since it was the only thing left from the fridge. ❝full or not, you’re buying me that. now, up.❞ she then pinched the male’s ear between her thumb and pointer finger, pulling him up from his seat. 

[ — ☯ ] DESPITE THE UNEXPECTED REACTION he had managed to draw with his words, Ryu’s own gaze doesn’t waver as he holds her stare for a couple of seconds before breaking out into laughter, thoroughly amused. “Do you see me being intimidated as yet? No? Then you probably never will.” A light snort escapes his lips along with his dry reply before rubbing the back of his neck in a lazy manner. “Alright, alright. I will buy you an entire store of that cereal bar...” His words trail off as he winces at the tug on his ear and raises a hand to swat hers off. “Alright, mother. You can stop reprimanding me now. Just don’t try spanking me or anything, trust me it’d be your palm that would hurt.”

[ — ☯ ] ITS ONE OF THOSE DAYS WHEN Ryu had little to no motivation to move from the comforts of his home, let alone exist in general. Hence when the older had actually decided to pay a surprise visit, he was met with an extremely ragged looking male who hadn’t bothered to get rid of his own bed head even at two in the afternoon. The only thing that had even roused the young heir from his slumber was his three dogs wanting to be fed, pawing and licking the male’s face until he had heeded though with a rather loud groan. Perhaps this laziness could be attributed to all the overtime worked in the previous week, the beginning of the year in itself being quite tumultuous when it came to having to secure new deals, renew old ones and engage in one too many social events. 

It had become a way of life, after all, the least expected out of the head of Korea Operations and Ryu had not disappointed his father albeit showing his dislike in having to be manipulated according to Senior Nam’s wishes. But the trend had been set, with every achievement came higher expectations and there were times when Ryu simply wanted to backtrack on his actions and rethink his life priorities, much like this afternoon. But this also meant that he paid little to no attention to taking care of himself in general, the question from the older reminding him of the same as he lay half slumped on the couch with eyes closed.
