Ending 2024 by drawing an homage to this illegal streaming classic. Did anyone ever figure out who made the two fanarts in it?

Incorrect! The Naruto in the background image is also post timeskip! I have been able to find a clearer image (although not the source, even with the signature I failed to find where it's from.) The flickr-repost calls it "NarutoSasuke_Battle_Once_More_by_bo".

btw the foreground Sasuke is official art, but it's very hard to find the full version of the original since there are sooooo many reposts with the background edited and the image cropped. If I had to put money on it though, I'd say its from an early 2000s calendar, just based on the style.

The foreground Naruto is a lot harder. The style is also giving early 2000s. The oldest unedited (possibly) version I've tracked is a deviantart repost from 2007 and has this background, but I'm not confident this is the original background (although the way all the wallpaper edits have a black border on the hair suggest this may well have been)

There's also this icon from a forum called fanverse, by a user who apparently hasn't been active since 2006, but I don't know if the icon is something he had since 2005 added to the account years later, but it's likely the earliest date attached to the image.
