Since episode 11 came out, I decided to lower my LoM with Castiel on purpose while playing Priya’s route, too see if there was any change in dialogue in his proposition.

First of all it was painful, like.. really really painful. I love Castiel and it felt like I was punishing myself or something :|    Second, well… it was completely useless because the scene doesn’t change at all. Not even a line of dialogue is different. And I also lost the illustration since LoM was low.

However, that whole despicable task had one good consequence. By picking all the bad options I got to read some dialogues that otherwise I would have completely missed and that are actually quite interesting in regards of Castiel’s personality.

Exhibit 1 - Episode 7

This is when Candy is at the beach, sees Castiel and goes talk to him. The bad option here is to say “I’m glad to see you“ (like… who would ever get mad to that? he’s lucky I love him anyway). To this he replies:

Castiel: “You never try to see me, we talk rarely, we always meet by chance. So, yes I am surprised to know that you’re happy to see me considering the rest of the time I don’t exist.

Candy: (I have no idea how to reply) “N-no but…”

Castiel: “It’s not really important. We run into each other very rarely, so I understand. It’s just… surprising. You are a little contradictory.”

Candy: “But, I don’t know… If I do that I am going to be ignored, or at least that’s the impression you give me…”

Castiel: “It’s easy to say. It’s not important, leave it.”

Candy: “Are you going to stay here the whole evening?”

Exhibit 2 - Episode 9

When he asks Candy how she is feeling after she fainted in the previous episode, the bad option is to brush it off by saying “ It’s been a while now, I’ve had time to recover.” He gets mad and says:

Castiel: “Yes, I understand what you mean. (You should) avoid sending people packing when they ask how you are. They will stop asking eventually.”

(He tightened his jaw, and started kicking his foot in annoyance).

Exhibit 3 - Episode 9

This is still episode 9, during the party. If Candy tells Castiel she didn’t know he and Amber were friends:

Castiel: “Eh yes, this is what happens when one leaves for many years, things change and you are not there to witness them, you can only acknowledge them once you are back.”

Candy: “Yes…” (Castiel’s tone is a little harsh)

MY POOR BABY!!!! 

He feels so alone and abandoned. By Candy yes, but also everyone else.

Shhhhh…. come here my love… let me take care of you forever

Also, as an extra note, this is the only real difference in dialogue I found when you have low LoM, if you still proposition Castiel to take a shower together in Episode 10 (AND OF COURSE I DID) he is going to reply the same way but he’s not going to touch Candy’s wrist while leaving. It’s a really subtle thing but I appreciate it, there should be more of this small differences.

Castiel: “We will talk about it another time.”

He tells us he had thought that one night would be enough for him but he was wrong, he wants something real and serious with us. He didn’t want to start a real relationship because he is going on tour next summer and he knows that we are terrible at long distance relationship (He also said that when his band found out about the tour, everyone started to phone their friends, family, and the only person he wanted to celebrate it with was Candy. Castiel added that he is not sure if hd wants to go and Candy said that it is a huge opportunity and he has to). He said he had been doing great with the ,,not falling in love thing" until we came back… He had thought about us since he had seen us in the crowd that night. Candy said that there is still a long time before next summer and it doesn’t have to end. Then the illustration happened and they shared a joke.
