do girls still dress up as narusasu and take photoshoots kissing in the forest or is it all meaningless now
You think you can hurt me? I ship narusasu bitch :')
speaking from a place of privilege (favourite character who is dead so they can’t be in boruto)
you know that filler episode where Naruto loses his ramen coupon in the wave country and he and Sasuke try to find it, but Naruto doesn’t get it back in the end and he’s like really upset abt it? Sasuke definitely drops by Ichiraku’s when they get back to the Leaf Village and slips a new coupon under Naruto’s door or window or something in secret.
Naruto shows up to training the next day stupidly happy bc he thinks he found it or it came back to him like a miracle, and Sasuke’s standing there pretending to be annoyed and acting like he had nothing to do with it, trying to hide how happy he is that Naruto’s happy again.
Reposting in case this happy moment was also forgotten by anyone

This has no context and it doesn't need it
Chapter 144
Fuck a break up, yall ever seen Naruto for the first time and watched Gaara's "endless dream of eternal peace" be him meeting Naruto as a kid and getting to play with him?
I've been thinking a lot about Sai (one of my favorite characters) and I kinda built up this concept where Sai is the embedded parallel of Sasuke for Naruto and Team Seven in general. Like he offers a new perspective for the team as a whole but also shares characteristics aside from the obvious physical similarities to Sasuke that build on the story. I feel like these characteristics and similarities are way too consistent and obvious to be coincidence. I feel like Sai was purposely created and shaped around Sasuke and the state he left Team Seven in. He also serves as a reflection for Naruto to keep Sasuke's image and memory alive and at the same time progress their relationship even from a distance.
My main points to support this concept are as follows:
We are introduced to Sai early on in Shippuden. This is after we establish the first meeting with Sasuke since he left the village. It's the following realization Naruto experiences when Sasuke won't simply return to the village with him.
Sai joins to complete the traditional three man team but also proves to be very different to Sasuke. Where both easily accepted Sasuke, Sai is a much more challenging personality for both to initially open up to. We also know Danzo specifically assigned Sai a private mission to learn of and pursue Sasuke on his own. In other words, Sai and Sasuke were already tied to each other.
Even though Sai works towards the mission Danzo assigned him he eventually gains his own interest in Naruto and Sasuke's bond. He who struggles with emotions and relationships due to his upbringing latches on to their example and comes to the conclusion that it's something to treasure. Where Sai helps Naruto to continue his search and struggle towards Sasuke, Naruto helps Sai open his mind and break away from the trauma he has internalized.
On the topic of trauma. Sai's can be said to be similar to both Naruto and Sasuke in the sense that he was left alone at a very young age. He was also negatively influenced by the Leaf village that left him under Danzo's abuse. We know Naruto was allowed to be shunned while Sasuke's whole clan was premeditatedly commited genocide against. Similar to the boys, Sai also then forms a bond that unfortunately is broken as I'll mention in a second.
Compared more Directly to Sasuke
Sai was trained to conquer his emotions to the point where he is traumatized and struggles to regain a sense of individuality by the time we meet him in Shippuden. On the contrast Sasuke's clan thrives off of emotion which is what triggers their most renowned power. Itachi constantly instigated highly stressful and emotional experiences for Sasuke for the same reason
Sai shared a very strong bond with his "brother" who he grew up with in the anbu suborganization 'Root'. This one and only bond was shattered when he lost Shin. This relationship can be seen to mirror the worst case scenario that Naruto fought to avoid until the moment he finally fought Sasuke.
IN SUMMARY Sasuke and Sai can be considered parallels to a certain point. The inclusion of Sai to the team and series as a whole can be said to have been in order to move the story along in a way that keeps Sasuke in mind by contrasting their situations. Additionally, we know Sai takes particular interest in Naruto and his bond with Sasuke that he so seriously tries to understand.
Sasuke: hello im Sasuke, and you are?
Naruto: gay.

Sasuke: the pleasures all mine ;)

Will never forgive the writers for making Sasuke an absent dad...
Read this if you want to hear my needlessly long thoughts on Haruno Sakura, thanks!!
This is a twitter convo I was having with someone and my final reply was too long so I’m putting it here:
This is what I am always trying to say..you absolutely get it. I think it’s okay that Sakura starts off as a little girl in an unrequited love, she is young, it’s understandable; but the fact that this remains her GROUNDING personality trait throughout the ENTIRE series is just despicable to me. I personally think Naruto and Sasuke are very into each other but- this doesn’t change the fact that I don’t think Sasuke ever really shows Sakura much attention or respect himself, and yet she remains obsessively in love with an idea of him that she isn’t even sure really exists…and sorry but it’s just exhausting lol. I think she really could’ve blossomed the way she was meant to if the writers had ever let her finally let go of that school-girl crush, but unfortunately like we agreed the writing team didn’t really like her or know what to do with her either, so…she is never really given much of a chance to shine either way. I really love Sakura for what she could’ve been had she actually been respected, so anyway stan Sakura Haruno absolute queen 🌸💕
I hate people talking trash about Sakura. They compare her to two of the strongest ninja ever and come to the conclusion that she's "useless". I won't fight anyone about how underdeveloped her character is psychologically but physically? Shut up! Our girl was trained by Tsunade. Saddest part is you bring up Hinata who is yet another female who never got fledged out as a character, simply because we're talking about men writing women into a complex shonen anime. But Hinata is "hot" she's got knockers who cares if she can only throw a couple of good punches. And then we pin two women against each other instead of realizing neither was done justice. At the end of the day the show was about two boys and their relationship. I just wish it didn't come at the partial cost of some of the female characters.
