Me, tearful: I just feel like I’m not good enough to do my job any more

I went to my first ever clay modelling workshop and decided that my creation needed to be a functional Moon-gazing hare since I’m not doing clutter atm… so I moulded out a little tumblestone holder so they can also charge my crystals for me.

I also drastically resculpted the face when I got home because it looked like a capybara or a horse more than a hare, and it annoyed the piss out of me. It’s still not perfect but it’s 1am and I have work tomorrow 🥲

Did a 4th of July rewatch today for the first time since 2013 and couldn’t help but think that anyone watching it for the first time could easily assume the creators are just looking to get away with racism instead of holding up a mirror to 2004 zeitgeist, which was suffocatingly pro America, pro Hollywood and anti Rest-of-the-World-but-especially-Middle-Easterns.

It’s kind of sad that such a unique movie couldn’t be a timeless classic because some of the puppetry elements are definitely the funniest aspects of the entire runtime now, but I would definitely still never recommend it to anyone who hasn’t already seen it, because at face value, in 2023… yikes.
