The Dejarik hologram table was too small,

So I’ll continue later.

Today I’m replacing the LED tape strips coz the one that comes with the kit is definitely toy looking.

I’ve found a Light Blue one that light up with 5v and with more lights on it.

Here is the difference :

The hologram table buttons were a real nightmare. It was very difficult to add the correct number of buttons. I tried twice, but it never looked presentable. The 0.5 mm fibers are too weak. They break all the time.

So, plan B: only seven buttons on each side using 1 mm fibers. I also replaced the table legs with putty, making them wider and slightly higher to create space for the fibers.

For the color I’ve just used the same Tamiya Silver-ish black.

I’ll finish it spraying some transparent laker on it.

Working on the switch lights of the Dejarik table (holograms chess).

The original table is in aluminum, so it was a nightmare to open holes on it , I’ve ask a friend to 3D print our original one , rescaled and added some holes for the LED fibers .

It looks more pain in the a** to add all the buttons so I’ve decided to add only 7 each sides.

Can’t wait to receive the piece !

It took me one year to finally update my gun-canon shooting cockpit (and this blog).

I had white LED in the beginning but I’ve changed them to blue , green and multi colored.

I still prefer the ALIEN spaceship look.

I’ve lost the hologram table so I need a friend to 3D print it for me.

10 years since I’ve bought the whole thing and still haven’t finished it.

Is there people in this world like me ? 🤣

Since the last time, I discovered that I had left the side panels (machinery) in place but only taped them from the rear. So, I decided to add some magnets to keep them secure until I finish the whole thing.

Then, I realized that the light fiber-optics of the upper gun port were dull in my original custom design, so I started adding more.

For this, I’m going to use three different LEDs to illuminate them.

I couldn’t work on my ship since 3 years ago , my electric circuit had burnt 2 times , I don’t know why and I had to move to a new house , so my millenium Falcon was in a box for long time.

I recently reopened it and start to work more on the living room.

There are many people now who build their own ships and customize them using 3D-printed parts, etc.

However, I prefer to stick to an artisanal approach for mine. So, I started making the walls by hands from scratch.

As you can see, I’ve added an LED tape on the floor to illuminate the lower section.

The corridor's green LEDs are currently disconnected, as I’m working on adjusting the cables. These cables will be visible in the living room as part of the decoration, similar to how I arranged them around the control panel near the hologram table.

The only part that will be 3D-printed is the hologram table because I want it to glow. So, I’ve drilled some holes in its base.

Im at my 8years of making this ship.

Today I’ve add all the pipes of the upper side.

Also I have completed the gun port adding the parts.

I thought I had to wait to finish the circuit board , but I’ve discovered that it was ok to add them except two pipes that goes from the machine holes to the gun port.

I’m so in love with what I have made.

I’m starting to imagine how cool my falcon will be on the wall of my office ;)

Day 60. I finally get the mini landing lights cups , This will cover the red lights on the bottom and the sides .

Day 57. Finalizing the cockpit-lights , adding some shoe goo in the sides for the leds-leeks. Screwing the cockpit part to the upper hull.

Now : I don’t like the holes around the main room so I’m gonna add some pipes and machines to fill them and look like more a real space ship.
