okay, but old playlists are the absolute best. love when you get to discover old songs that you haven’t thought about in years. love it even more when they help unlock memories that you had stored away. right? sorry to everyone that has to spend sixty dollars to get a buzz going, but couldn’t be us. are you telling me you’re older than twenty-four? ‘cause you really don’t look it. like, at all. the band is something to celebrate, yes! however, i’m curious now – what’s your favorite happy memory? 

isn’t it wonderful? i found a treasure trove of my old cd’s — yes, actual cd’s! — in a room at my parent’s house not too long ago, and it’s been an absolute adventure rediscovering them. that’s my curse, because i have a baby face but i feel like i’m an old person on the inside, you know? i’m twenty-eight going on fifty, i think. oh wow, my favorite? if i had to pick one off the top of my head, i’d have to say something silly, like getting to surprise my brother with letting him meet his lifelong hero will smith, and watch him try to breathe and come up with words to say to him at the same time. that is a very happy memory for me, though probably not so much for him, but what are sisters for if not to recount embarrassing stories about you in vivid detail? 

hopefully you won’t be terribly disappointed in the show. oh yes, more than once. i’ve had my phone number stolen from something they’ve found in the bin and other assorted items have made their way online. people are terrible and clearly haven’t had any home training. do you live in london or have you relocated across the pond to become a yank? oh i think you’re plenty famous. especially after aladdin and charlie’s angels. both of which i enjoyed a lot. i wish i could be less famous, that’d be lovely. is it horribly ungrateful to say i love my job and i love my fans but i could do with 500% less paparazzi attention and intrusion. oh the old ‘ no speak english’ ruse could work. my russian accent isn’t terrible so it might actually work. it’s your birthday today, right? happy birthday darling. i hope you have a lovely day. are you doing anything for it?

i’m positive i won’t be! that is just so bizarre to me. can you imagine being the type of person who buys an actor’s stolen things? could you even display it proudly, or would you be to embarrassed to tell people how you got it? i have a million and one questions. i live in new york right now, so i’m definitely well on my way to becoming a yank, i think. my apologies to the motherland. please, you’re soo nice to me. i do have people who recognize me sometimes, but not so often, cause going out with no makeup and sweats will honestly do wonders for making people think you suddenly look entirely different than you are. not sure if you can use that particular hack, but i’d be happy to trade so you can see what it’s like to be happily anonymous for a day if i could. it was, and thank you so much. i appreciate it! i spent it with my boyfriend, so it was really wonderful. have you been up to anything fun lately? 

That’s some growth, right there. I mean still sounds like you’re productive and you already know what you need to take out and what needs to stay for another trip. I did the same! I was searching everywhere for a dress and low and behold, it was in my suitcase that I forgot about for months. It was not a pretty sight. Rough, but overcoming it!

so glad to know that you also understand the struggle! that’s true, i’m pretty much a pro packer at this point which makes things a bit easier. i am extremely impressed that you manage to do laundry before you leave to go home, though, because i’m always much too exhausted. proud of you.

After a trip, are you the type to still leave your clothes in your luggage or do you just dump it all out and sort it out later whenever you have time? Granted, everything in your luggage is clean because you did laundry before you left.

i’m the first type, but i feel like i’ve surpassed even that, sometimes. usually i’m so busy it’s more like...get home, unpack things i need immediately, and then leave the rest of it there until i feel like sorting through it and/or when i have to go away again. made the mistake of sticking my suitcase in a closet after a trip one time and ooh, boy, i forgot about it for a solid month before i went looking for a particular shirt. it’s rough over here. 

Finished filming Spencer over in the U.K and it’s in post production now which is exciting. I’m also nervous as hell to know what fans will think of me as Diana, especially my British fans. I hope I did her justice but it’s out of my hands now. There’s no set release date yet but hopefully it’ll be soon. Oh and I’m also single again so that’s fun. I’m Kristen and I swear too much. Shit. i’m so excited! for this film, and for you, and to see your beautiful face on a huge ass screen again. have i mentioned that i love you so much? and as your number one british fan, i have every faith that you’ll do her justice. okaaaay, i’m gonna need a text update with a play by play of everything in your life and love life that i’ve missed since we’ve been apart, please! 

Right? Disney is the best! No problem! It was great to see her come to life! That you gave her, her own story and had her be a bit bad ass.  She is pretty damn cool so thank you.

I the other day was watching Disney + as any grown man loves to do.I had rewatch Aladdin! Thank you for that, you did so amazing in that movei!

as any grown human loves to do, of course! aw, you’re so sweet. that’s really so nice of you to say. it’s wild and a bit terrifying to get to play one of your childhood heroes, but i’m so happy to have gotten to do it.

what have you been up to?

not to sound like an old man or anything, but i’ve recently been hit by a wave of nostalgia that i can’t shake. might be the fact that i’ve spent the last twenty-four hours watching old childhood cartoons or perhaps it’s the fact that my band is coming up on their ten year anniversary and i’m stuck on how it all began. either way, i’m straight up yearning to return to a few years ago. twenty year old luke, despite the obvious emotional issues, knew how to party and have the best time. miss that fucker. can’t hold my alcohol for shit now, but suppose that’s one of the cons of getting older. which, like, i kind of thought would happen somewhere in my thirties? but nah, here i am at 24 and i’m suffering. anyway, come tell me about your favorite past memory, or how your career started, or … anything. indulge me in this conversation about the past. thank you.

i think this must just be a universal human thing, because i swear this happens to me every few years as well, for no reason at all. i get stuck listening to old playlists, and watching old movies i liked, and then i’m in a full on spiral about everything. if i’m being honest, i find my alcohol tolerance is definitely a pro of getting older, because all it takes is a glass of wine or two for me to be feeling very floaty, so i save all kinds of money now. ah, twenty four is always suffering, but i promise it’ll get a little better. well, when i get sucked into nostalgia, i like to make sure and think about the good things in the here and now — like your band! that’s something to celebrate. 

with the loki series starting to stream in june, i’ve realized it’s been over two years since i’ve found anyone digging through my trash or found paparazzi trying to climb over the fence to take pictures of my house and what the hell was i thinking signing up for this again? my self-imposed hiatus from public life is about to end soon and i don’t know how i feel about it honestly. i haven’t had this much anonymity in years and it’s been rather nice, not being recognized everywhere i go. what’s your best tip on dealing with press and fame in general? what’s the secret to not being affected negatively by it? i’ve not done brilliantly at it so far. hi i’m tom and all the help would be so appreciated. @hfrpstarters​

out of all the marvel shows, loki might be the one i’m most excited for, i have to say. but, oh my god...did they really dig through their trash? what were they looking for? is there something from your bin just floating around there online, being sold for a ridiculous amount of money? i have so many questions. ah, well, in that way i’m blessed that i live in a big city where nobody really cares about me being there. definitely one of the pros, although i really also don’t consider myself ‘famous’ at all. but i don’t think ‘be less famous’ is very helpful advice, is it? in your case, i’d say you should invest in a nice disguise for when you just want to go out to the shop without being disturbed. and if anyone does approach you, just act like you don’t speak english. it’s foolproof! 

Can I just say who actually believes anything on Wikipedia? Like I haven’t even heard of the college on my Wikipedia page. People realize anyone can edit those pages right? Like seriously though. It’s another case of don’t believe everything you see on the internet. I mean I don’t see why anyone would be interested in learning where I went to school or how tall I am but that’s just me. I’m Sydney and I google myself for fun. What’s the craziest thing you’ve read about yourself ? I’m genuinely curious.

i’m so glad i’m not the only one who thinks wikipedia is weird. there are some things i’ve read on wikipedia and elsewhere on the internet where i’m just like...okay, but who asked about this? and who is writing the answer? i don’t think there’s anything particularly wild about me out there on the net (fingers crossed, as my mum understands how to use twitter now) but i do think it’s funny that if you search my height, google has added me a solid extra two inches. it’s not true, but it makes me feel a bit taller. 

jodie: i can't believe you still doubt me when i say i am all knowing! what more proof do you need?

jodie: i'm surprised our friendship hasn't gotten me in any kind of trouble yet because that's exactly what's bound to happen, i can feel it!
