he’s the last guy you’d ever consider dating
purely because taeyong is very well known as the guy you don’t fuck with
like, anyone who even looks at taeyong is a bad way wont be able to speak the next day
he’s a strange character to say the least, but you’re in one of his classes at uni and you have to speak to him
because the damn teacher is making you introduce yourself to the people sitting next to you
and he had sat next to you at the back since no other seats were free
so you find yourself awkwardly looking across to him and swallowing hard when his eyes met yours
but in a good way, they’re almost mysterious to you
since you’ve heard so much about taeyong but never really spoken to him
when he speaks he’s actually really quiet it’s a bit of a surprise to you
and the best thing is how he slowly tells you about himself
like he’s never done it before
that he likes music and dance, and art too
which surprises you a little at first because he seems like he would hate art and dance
but you tell him about you anyway
and you won’t lie, it feels like he’s barely even listening to what you’re saying
until you see him sitting alone in a lecture later that week and when you sit a few seats down from him
he notices you’re wearing headphones and taps you on the arm to ask if you’re listening to the group you mentioned before
which you are, and turns out he listened to a few of their songs
so he could talk to you about it, not that he tells you
he’s a bit shy on the inside and couldn’t imagine letting out any feelings of his
especially ones that involve him liking someone
you actually made him want to know more about you
so he gives you his number and you guys end up talking way more than you ever thought you would
you think taeyong is some expert in music from how much he knows
and one day he invites you back to his after class when it’s dark
he tells you he’ll drive you home later because he didn’t want you to walk home alone
and you’re surprised when you get to his place
he lives in a shared house and it’s so nice
it’s not at all what you expected
his housemates are lovely and they seem to be gushing over how Taeyong looks at you
one of them tells you that taeyong talks about you all the time but you don’t believe him
but you end up in taeyong’s room sitting on the end of the bed listening to music with him
which ends with you both laying on the bed next to each other staring up to the ceiling
not really saying anything to each other but it’s nice
just until taeyong sits up a little and looks down at you
his stare is so soft that it makes your spine shiver
and he kisses you just as softly, making you question everything
it’s one of the best kisses you’ve ever had regardless of how it happened
and when you kiss taeyong back he’s over the moon
he drives you home and tells you he’ll pick you up tomorrow for a real date
because he feels bad that you two haven’t really done anything special before he kissed you
he just had a feeling you were the right one for him
regardless, everything is going smooth for the two of you
rumour spreads that you’re taeyong’s girlfriend and people keep their distance
not that you care, you didn’t really speak to them
and the lectures you have together are great because he lets you lean into him
and he isn’t going to make you do all the work on a group project either
but you should have known something bad would eventually happen
and it comes in the form of you stumbling across taeyong practicing dance one time
well, it wasn’t the first time you’d seen him dance but you didn’t know where he practiced
and you’re watching from the stands of the hall where he can’t see you
admiring how good he is but also a little disappointed that he won’t tell you
you suppose that he’s embarrassed
either way, before you can leave you and taeyong are both startled by the sound of someone entering the hall
and it’s some kids who rival taeyong, you’re sure
they start mocking him for what he’s doing, taunting him from the entrance
which obviously pisses taeyong off, and he isn’t going to let them walk away
from how he’s shouting and screaming at them you’d have thought he might kill them
so you run after him when he tries to approach them to stop him
and he’s a little whipped for you, so the second you shout his name he stops to look back at you
but that doesn’t mean he stops what he’s doing
he runs for those guys until he’s hit one of them and is moving onto another
and when you try to grab him he pushes you away from him and sends you down to the ground by accident
he doens’t even realise at first, but when he does his heart will stop
forget the others in the hall, taeyong is right by your side
even if you didn’t hurt yourself he’s going to be checking every inch of you and apologising with every breath he has
he didn’t mean to hurt you, he hates himself for it
after he did that there’ll be times he’ll look in the mirror and shake his head because he doesn’t trust himself
it’s going to take a lot for him to even be able to look you in the eye after that happens
he’ll be scared to hold your hand or even so much as touch the side of your face
he loves everything about you and he really can’t being himself to accept what he’s done
not until you sit him down on the end of his bed where he first kissed you
and you hold his hand and you touch the side of his face
you kiss him gently and rest your head on his chest as you sigh to him softly
there’s one thing which he needs from you before he can carry on like he did before
