Lelya was a True believer in Faith, and she also seemed like a genuinely good person. I think that if Dean had just been frank with her: this wouldn't just be healing her, it would be dooming someone else to death then I think that she would have been understanding? She's just seemed so genuinely nice?
I just realized Sam is driving the Impala in Bugs and they don't even mention it!
The confidence Supernatural had to have their 8th episode start with Bugs crawling into a man's ears, nose, and mouth until they ate his brain and he died. I'm tempted to skip this episode every rewatch and I can't imagine what people watching it live felt.
I'm somewhat confused about the fandoms reaction to Dean and saying "dad never treated us like that" in bugs. I feel like people read this resentment of Sam into the line-- as if he's saying dad didn't treat you like that when it feels more like denial to me?
I also do think that it's interesting when pairing it with the conversation just 6 episodes later in Nightmare where Sam says something like "at least Dad didn't treat us like that" and Dean doesn't say anything but the fandom interpreted that as John did treat Dean like that.
I think that Dean probably was yelled at for every little thing, like Sam, (and more physical punishments) and had a kind of fawn response where he defended him and labeled himself as deserving of the punishment.

I forgot how much of early Supernatural took place in libraries
Phantom Traveler is such a good episode. I kinda wish there were more episodes like that where demons really took advantage of their ability to switch "meat suits."
To my memory there are exactly two times in the series Dean gets on a plane in the whole series-- episode 4 and when they go to Scotland in season 6. I totally believe that Dean was scared of flying for the whole 15 seasons.
Also it's so funny to make a character loosely based on Han Solo scared of flying. I'm obsessed with that decision.
I know I'm preaching to the choir but they should have used Christo WAY more often!
Has anyone considered that once the flight attendant was in on the fact there's a demon on board they could have said the exorcism over the speaker into the cockpit?
John having Sam blocked in 2005 is crazy work. Like he must have called up the phone company so his kid couldn't contact him crazy.

Dead in the Water was so good for Dean's character development-- it really highlighted how good he was with kids in a way that the show mostly keeps up with.
Corey Monteith in Supernatural's second episode is always a surprise to me even though I remember he was in it conceptually because I was watching glee the first time I binged the show.
If he had a bigger role than maybe I would be able to retain the information better.
I'm glad that Supernatural didn't go too far into Indigenous legends post season 1 (at least not to my memory).
