If I had to change one thing about mlp fim, it would be swapping what elements AJ and Dash represent. Don’t get me wrong, I love them as they are, but I just feel like Loyalty suits AJ better, just as Honesty fits Dash better. I think that there’s a level of loyalty that is just necessary about farm life that you really can’t find anywhere else. It’s sacrificing your sleep for the well being of your livestock, it’s sacrificing time with friends to make sure your family can get through the harvest. It’s an unbridled loyalty to the land and to your stock, your crop, and most importantly, your family. It’s a loyalty that knows sacrifice like an old lover, it’s loyalty that kneels before the mantle of stress, sleepless nights, and physical strain. It’s loyalty that is reflected in her family values and in the farming community as a whole, because when you live on a farm, the whole world tries to get its pound of flesh. When you are a part of a farming community, you know the importance of your crop and your livestock, and to be in a farming community if you’re in for a penny, you’re in for a pound. People will help you out, because it’s a matter of you and yours survival, but you’re expected to do the same for everyone else, because it’s what you do. Loyalty is so ingrained in the farming communities because of its roots (and continued existence) as one of the most important, but dire, industries to exist. Your farm’s survival DEPENDS on the success of what you tend, and a bad year can destroy a family, and everyone in the community knows it, so we take care of each other. But idk that’s just me.
